He is fast. Seen him ride in SoCal often over the last couple years. Whether he will be a top contender in the future will remain to be seen. He has the backing and the rumor mill, for what it is worth, in SoCal has it that only a few doors were opened being "Mikes" kids. If he wasnt fast the Monster Energy rig they drive around in would be taken away pretty quickly and the dollars they hand over (rumor mill about some big bucks) would also vanish.

Us in SoCal that have spent any amount of time at the local tracks know who CC is and that he really came from BMX and showed some real skill on 2 wheels. He shows some good skills on outdoor tracks and like any young rider will have to "learn" the "art" of SX.

As for the comments about Mike.... I agree with the mud slinging comment - start another thread. Not that I am a fan of Mike... but this thread is about CC. Mike definately has shown an incredilble amount support to CC the past bunch of years, and like any of us that had/has a talented kid, he is trying to see to it that CC talents are molded and pushed in the proper direction. Without his "name" CC might have taken a little longer to truly get noticed, but I think he would have gotten noticed none-the-less. I have seen him run the tracks out here and beat some damn good talent.

j100 pointed out that CC has John Mitcheff in his corner. John has several #1 SX plates, 3 I believe, and an outdoor #1 along with 3MXDN Championships as a wrench. This kid is serious about his future and you guys are a bunch of asswipes for throwing punches. Beabout seems to sum it up, jealous. Is that you Brandon? CYCLEWERKZ is right also. craig is a fast lil guy myfriends!!! I have been on several different tracks at the same time and he blends right in with the pros. If he ends up staying healthy and training like he does he will turn some heads when he jumps in the AMA... just my dos pesos

Please fill me in on why so many want to AVOID talking about Mike Craig. Wasn't Mike a Mickey Thomson champion...like multiple champion?

Is mom344 still married to Mike or remarried? I'm just curious if Mike coaches and trains Christain.

christian learned alot from mike, not disputing that!!
because of the road his dad has chosen to take in the wrong direction the past few years, christian has opted to do things for himself. Still loves and respects his dad just chooses to not be an enabler for mike...very proud of him and hopes mike gets the help he needs, so he can be around for christian in the future...sorry that people on here are getting the wrong idea of me and christian and thinking that we are trashing mike, because that is not what its is...mike did help christian alot, and could help him alot more if he would just get better!!! i hope he does...

He's starting out learning the rhythm and timing of SX on a basic track it looks like. As he gets comfortable, he can progress to a track with more sections and bigger whoops etc etc. Why send him to the Yami track with Bubba and co. to learn SX, thats a recipe for disaster for anyone. Critics should take their own teenager and go learn SX with Stewart on a factory test track. Just have the life alert ready when you do.

... are you joking? Since when are there SX tracks everywhere for people to practice on? (and shitty fair race tracks don't count) I've ridden several fair tracks, and I've ridden a very good indoor track used by a couple privateers for SX practice, and it was night and day difference. A good indoor track is very hard to come by. And not that many people ride fair races anyway...
