I get this weird looking deformed Robin visiting my garden bird table. Apart from the loss of feathers on his head his body he seems to be swolllen into a round shape.

He seems happy enough though.

Dont forget the scaley ones too. Here are just a few animals that we have been recognized for our efforts to help in saving them from certain extinction. The next generation would only be reading about them in books if not for the care and dedicated hard work of many.

Awesome thread--I too have been an Animal lover for as long as I can remember.

For whatever reason my Dad brought home a Duck at our first home 58 years ago and we have always had dogs and cats.

He wasn't the greatest Dad as far as spending time or teaching me things, but for having pets around he was.

For this reason I've never hunted or could kill an animal and will never understood the "JOY" in doing so.

Yes I understand if you harvest the animal, but for fun is the part I don't get. And Poachers should be hung!

Beautiful pictures and there are many I've never seen before.

Thanks

Was going to post this one in the Pic of the Day thread, but it sort of belongs in here:

Another local pic but thought it'd be better here. These are the Seneca Army Depot white whitetails. A few were fenced in back in 1941 and their numbers continued to grow. Depot is closed now but a private group bought 7,000 acres of the depot and maintain a large group of them today.
