Why is 50% of the screen blue background? Instantly turns a 65" screen to approx 20".

SX announcing is better this year, but the production still leaves a lot to be desired.

I too ponder a lot of shit. One of them being why does Wendys have square burgers and round buns?

And why does In-N-Out have such crazy-long lines at the drive thru? I mean, the burgers are "ok", but nothing there is great...

Seriously, average burger that every SoCaler thinks is great. And the fries suck.

I have mentioned the exact same thing. I once got an answer that basically said something like once the "theme" is made the production crew isnt able to change it. They just pick which cameras go into which box. What that really tells us is that there will be no update for several years as redesigns cant be cheap. Ive considered getting a projector so I can actually see half the race.

I fully agree with the sentiment.

My best guess as to why they do that is to keep the full picture without having to have a narrow view of one half of your tv as well as keep the full sidebar. Personally I'd rather see a much bigger primary viewing screen for the replay they're showing and a slightly smaller continued live stream. Or vice versa.

The whole production continues to be a mess imho. RC blathering on while a pass is happening live, picture in picture where Kenny passing Eli back is in the tiny screen while a replay of Ken going off track and back on is on the medium size screen. It pisses me off how much they have that damned split screen going.

I know they are required to show the leaders especially towards the end, so I appreciated them showing Osborne's fight while he was still pushing. The layout does seem stupid but if I can see some of the other riders putting in work I'll take what I can get.
