2021. Not completed, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see Honda start building these again.

I like the 250s, but the 125s seem to have a little "workness":
George Holland's CR125

Donny Schmit's RM125

Guy Cooper's RM125

Steve Lamson's CR125
That Lamson bike, was basically the last factory CR125 engine(2002) put inside a 2007 frame with. A kit suspension!

Building one with that motor, and modern works suspension and brakes , plus other modern engine tricks

Hi guys,

I've been following this killer thread since day one and really thought that one day I would post something as a huge 2 stroke fan.

Thought it was time now with that covid crap and the shitty weather we have here in France right now.

Just wanted to share a few pics of the 2 babies I have been taking care of since a few years now.

I've been always riding on Honda's but in 07, when they stopped their 2 stroke programme, I sold my CR at the end of 08 just because my hate for thumpers was stronger that my love for the big red! I switched to a 250 YZ and keept riding them until now and I love this bike, but I secretly keept in mind that one day, I would ride on a CR again.

After years of search and patience, I finally found an 05 in perfect shape and very low hours.
Saved money and took the time to build the bikes I dreamed of, with exactly all the parts I wanted and where I wanted.
Nothing factory, nothing crazy, but just the right stuff at the right place in my opinion.
The 2 bikes are done, and they are built on the same "spirit" with almost exactly the same parts at the same places.

I went with some graphics as sober and clean as possible, factory effex B4 seat cover, and all the plastics with the same color (I mean all red for the Honda and all blue for the YZ), black renthal handlbars (971 for the CR, and twinwall 997 for the YZ), black ignition cover and Hinson clutch cover, black renthal sprokets with DID gold chain, elite perch works connection on both, with skid plate and radiator braces on the YZ (over sized radiators on the CR that don't allow the WC braces to fit), talon wheels on the YZ while I went with silver rims and red hubs on the CR, and DEP pipe and silencer on both. (since I smashed the pipe on the YZ I switched to a HGS pipe and love it)

Engine wise, Vertex piston (cast with 2 rings) and the YZ but forged single ring on the CR). The Honda as a VF 3 reed cage and a VHM head. No need them on the YZ!

Best wishes from the otger side of the pond.

Awesome build to celebrate the 30 year partnership between Scott and Pro Circuit.
