So I understand software companies need to make money but for a mobile game, it’s about $25/per new bike or an absolutely obscure amount of game play. Disappointed in the developers for ruining a great game with greed. Anyone else agree?

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Free shipping: VITALMX
Everything will be available for free, with a pay-for-convenience model for those who wanna skip ahead a little bit. It was the same in MSM2, just packaged a little differently.
As a beta tester I vastly prefer 3 over to 2.
But yeah, it isn't finished yet. It's missing a lot of features
I still prefer 2, but I definitely see 3 having more potential.
Msmx 2 already makes me feel like I am working the controller with my feet.
I watch clips of the guys holding the fast times and just am in awe of how easy they make it look.
If the developers want to make a fortune they should come up with, hmmm, let's say a "wheelie bar" to keep us from looping out all the time.
I know it might be unreasonable to expect it to be available to players over 55 years of age only, but maybe they could put it on a sliding scale.
Start it at $400 for teenagers, and drop it $100 per decade (20+ = 300, 30+ = 200, 40+ = 100, 50+ = 0
Just sayin'
First of all the game is NOT finished whatsoever. It is in a soft launch phase in Canada and the Philippines right now. Think of it as an early beta or early access type phase. During this phase we test out a bunch of things (pacing, pricing, economy balancing, etc) and use data from those users to see what works and what doesn't. It is a slow process of release a new version, gather data and feedback, analyze, fix, repeat.
With that being said don't get too upset about pricing or pacing (yet). Those things are still very much going to change. There are also some features in the game that will reward more currency which have not yet been implemented (achievement system). So once those are in the amount of money you earn will go up and make it easier to buy things.
However, MSM3 will take longer to play through than MSM2 did. We want the game to last a few months or more (not a couple weeks like MSM2 Career). So be prepared for it to feel a bit more in depth and "grindy". We will ALWAYS allow free players to unlock the fastest bikes without spending money. So you'll never be blocked behind a pay-wall in order to get the best bike. It just might take a bit longer if you don't want to spend cash.
We don't have a release date yet. We had planned on releasing it last year but we were not 100% satisfied with the state the game was in. So we have delayed it until we think it is ready. We don't want to release a game that we don't stand by 100%. We hope to release it sometime in the first half of 2021, but I'm not making any promises!
Things we want to add before we launch the game worldwide:
- Teams
- More event types in addition to Jam
- Whips (maybe... we are currently testing them and figuring out if they are fun)
- Achievements
- More track backgrounds
- and other small stuff
Then we have a list of other features to add in future updates. These are things the community has been asking for. The main on being a track editor (if all things go to plan). A ranked competitive league. Plus we will be adding more IRL gear brands in MSM3.
Update on MSM2 - we have a new game mode in the works. Be on the look out for a pretty huge update in a couple months or so. We decided to bring a new game mode to MSM2 while we work on finishing MSM3. We also will NOT be shutting down MSM2 once MSM3 is released. So for those player who prefer MSM2 you will still be able to play and get updates.
Feel free to hit me with any questions!
TL;DR - MSM3 is not finished. A lot is still changing. We would love your feedback on the current version but expect the final version to be much better! It will be released when we feel it is the best it can be! MSM2 is still being worked on and we have a big update soon.
Pit Row
Personally I've always I've never paid for any bike in MSM2, but I am a cheapskate. It doesn't take that long to earn them in the game.
MSM3 is going to be different than MSM2 in a big way. In MSM2 it is a race to get the fastest bike then go battle it out in Jam or VS. In MSM3 we are adding in a bunch of events and modes that are bike restricted. So you won't always be on the best bike. It makes it more fun to be on other bikes and keeps it competitive no matter what bike you have. It's not meant to be a race to the final bike, but about a long journey that is fun at every step. I actually prefer racing on some of the slower bikes in MSM3. I find I'm better at them.
The main place you'll want the fastest bike is in the ranked league. By time we release that I would assume most players who started playing around launch day will already have the best bikes. That mode won't be out for a few months after launch.
The performance can differ a lot on Android devices. Overall they typically don't play as well as on iOS. But that is because of the device limitations, not the game. You can always email support with your exact device info. If we have the same device at the office we can test it out and see if maybe there is a bug causing it or if it just related to the device not being as fast as your old iPhone.
