What if, vital send a pop up or something like the "take our survey " once clicking the bazaar section? with some good to know info about how to proceed when buying selling. Of course this pop up need to catch attention. But it would be a cheap , easy thing to start with imo

Maybe ad a "i understand bla bla , click to enter " like some of the other fun sites...

Back in August.... The message was too vague and I never responded to it, thankfully. I refuse to pay anyone without goods and services these days. 3% to cover my ass has paid off a couple of times

I've been screwed over as the seller before with Paypal even when payment was sent friends and family. The buyer disputed it with their bank as an unauthorized transaction. So I sent Paypal the screenshots from the buyer saying they sent the money and the tracking number showing delivered to send to the bank. After nearly 3 months Paypal said the bank favored the buyer so they took the money from me. Paypal told me basically to kick rocks. They said that since the buyer sent it friends and family, that the seller also has no protection.

I do and get an email back a couple minutes later and it just seemed fishy as hell. Do a search on here and lo and behold...

Obviously not going to send this clown any money... The writing style screams non-native speaker (which doesn't instantly mean it's a scam, but... a guy named Nick Tyler from Boston probably wouldn't write like that). I don't think showing up at that address would yield any results.

Sounds like you should implement a minimum number of posts to be able to send pms. At least we could scroll thru their post history and likely spot a fake.

I think 20 sounds realistic, I’d also suggest limiting access to the for sale forums entirely until that limit is met. If they have to work for it, it may really discourage them. And meanwhile as they make the posts it should help us all be able to spot them.

If someone pops in and makes a bunch of useless posts to reach the minimum I bet we could all see it easily.

Might save a few members from being ripped off.

I'm not afraid of scammers fucking me over as I am afraid of PayPal fucking me over. As long as I live in will go to any length to keep PayPal from making a penny off me gain as long as I can help it. When I pay their fees to be protected from the scammers and instead they side with the scammers I'd be a moron to think they are going to help me should I need it. Ill do my own work and use what common sense I have to determine if a the person I'm trying to deal with is legit.
I feel it can only help our community as a whole to post about a true dirt bag as the original poster did here. And not for something that should be worked out between two adults, but rather a no good dirty rotten parasite scammer who's only existence is to take money from honest people.

Once an actual hacker gained remote access over my computer while I was on a lunch break at work and bought 6500 dollars worth of eBay digital gift cards. In theory it was all legit purchases. I called PayPal and they refunded my account and probably ate the 6500 dollars. So I’ll never talk shit on PayPal.
