But, Tony isn’t. Try again. Obviously he caters to the others. Not his customers. Reputation is meaningless at this point.
Yet, you advocate a thief. Says a lot about you.

For his 4-strokes yes. For the YZ 125’s he was building he used several motor companies for comparison and went with the Varner Motor.

Don’t matter if the guy could build the space shuttle at this point.

I also don’t think anyone is doubting the work, but then again can’t say much about it if you never receive it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Grinning Mike did for the 2 stroke nationals. Didn't want to mention it. Trying to avoid ESR Tony posting 20 ESR posts.

So, basically what you are saying after reading a thread full of disappointments and let downs is, he’s the greatest.
He’s had a guys parts for two years.

Tony ain’t that bad, he believes in the ESR kit almost as much as some here believe in Varner

I’m just saying he didn’t let me down or anyone I referred. Obviously these guys didn’t get what they paid for and I feel for them. If it were me I would be on a plane returning with my motor if someone had it for 2 years.

Lotta people say they would be in a plane. In reality can everyone afford time off work? Can everyone afford a cross country flight and hotel. Do you know many states now require a two week quarantine when returning to and from another state?
So basically, lose four weeks worth of work at this point, pay for a flight then, perhaps the guy isn’t even at his shop.
Awful lot of variables for you to make that claim. I can’t do it. These guys shouldn’t have to either. I had a 7 day turn around for work I had done on a cylinder/head with another company.

You feel for these guys but, started off with oh he’s great, he built, he tuned for. Big deal. That doesn’t mean anything without customer service when these people paid for work to be done and, have waited two years. If I still lived in So Cal I’d be parked in his driveway. That’s doable. A cross country flight? Nah, I’d opt for my own Terry Varner Motorsports review and daily updates on YouTube in a conference call with everyone missing shit in this thread. He’s pissed about a thread......

Well, I called Terry asking about the motors but there’s not much more I can do beyond that. Maybe you can jumpstart the YouTube channel and help a fellow rider out?

Nah, I just have family in Cali willing to help and waiting to firm things up with a couple people in this thread. They’ll be paying Varner a visit. Soon. Guess your call didn’t work out.

I'm another one of those "Terry never did me dirty, this is out of character for him" people. He's built motors for me, and I've sent people to him- with no issue. I had a similar situation happen with some V8 cylinder heads I had built for a boat. It took a lawyer and a little over 2 years to get them back. Hoping to see this resolved before 2021.

So for the guys who’ve had great experiences with Varner (and at least one sounds like they’ve sent a motor and received it back since the YZ motor went to him), what is your feeling as to WHY he’s choosing to fuck these guys over but chose not to do the same to you?

Did you guys not pay in advance so that he needed to finish in order to be paid? What was the difference in your good/great service and these horror stories?

It’s weird seeing such different treatment. Not to equate what Varner has done to these guys, but this reminds me of a quip that a psych instructor once made many years ago. “Ted Bundy was a great, charming guy to the vast majority of people who he interacted with. But for at least 30 of them, he was a real devil.”

Terry did my CR250R motor about 6-7 years ago. Great communication before, during and even years after. I paid up front, got everything he promised, and when he targeted getting it done.

I’m torn by this thread as well, as the guy I dealt with was not what I see on here.

I can read a thousand positive reviews, but even one negative can completely change the way I feel about something. At this point Varner is nothing more than a complete joke.

Terry did a CR250 for me during the course of the mess. Paid a partial amount and waited a short time for the finished product. Numerous texts with a few delayed responses.. After receiving the parts, Terry helped with jetting parts and info. At some point, he will end up doing more work for me. Sometimes people can't learn to say no to different projects or timing in life. Hoping all can be resolved and they all run as good as mine does.

Nothing like rolling the dice on weather or not your motor comes back.

Yes indeed. Its pathetic. Anytime there is a theft thread on here, the perpetrators unanimously and rightly slammed.

And now we have part of the moto industry committing theft and fraud, and all the brown nosers, sycophants and wannabees are donning their knee pads and noshing on down.

As per usual, the laws of physics never apply on vital and the fastest engines can only be built by one guy in the center of the so cal moto universe, with an infinite lead time.

And unlike many on here, some of us did understand the guy claiming the extra 15hp over competitors engines was joking lol

@ 607 Collective.
I sent you a PM last night. I’m hoping you got it. If you get a chance, pm me back and we can exchange emails for starters. I’d like to get the ball rolling in hopes of you getting your engine back. If there’s anyone else on here who has stuff they want back, PM me as well as I’d like to consolidate everything into one run. I do not foresee future help after one trip to Varners.

You’d think Varner would stop taking work until he gets people their motors back. And maybe use a schedule or a calander. Figure out how many hours it actually tekes him to do a job and show up and do it. But nope.

Wonder what the odds are the engines will be missing original parts. This kinda shit sucks. I dont live near Varner but have no issue in spreading the warning sign.

I was responding to APLMANN99's question about what others' experience was with Varner. You all want to shoot anyone who does not grab a pitchfork and go for the kill. My experience was completely different, which is why I said I was torn by this thread.

Chance is offering a solid way ahead, yet HE'S the one having to reach out to the guy needing the assistance to get his engine back. Does that even sound logical to any of you? That tells me a lot about why the problem is still going on.

Maybe if it was one person. But it’s multiple.
