Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Race Team Announces 2021 Roster

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (October 16, 2020) – The upcoming 2021 racing season marks 28 years of winning for Kawasaki and Pro Circuit. The successful Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki boasts an impressive resume including the most combined supercross/motocross wins in the 125/250 class at 29 championships, including the 2019 AMA Pro Motocross championship achieved by Monster Energy® Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo.

Returning to the Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki race team for 2021 aboard their all-new 2021 KX™250 motorcycles is long-time Team Green™ racer Austin Forkner along with Jordon Smith and Cameron McAdoo. The trio welcomes, Seth Hammaker, as he graduates from the Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green amateur race program.

“We have a great team returning for the 2021 season combined with an all-new KX250 motorcycle,” said Mitch Payton, Pro Circuit owner. “We’re looking forward to continuing to work with our solid group of guys and Hammaker joining the crew. There is a lot of talent between our four riders, and we will provide all the necessary tools to help each of them reach their full potential. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team has high expectations to put Kawasaki and Pro Circuit on top of the podium.”

Forkner will enter the new season as the most experienced rider on the team. The 12-time 250 class race winner has high hopes of capturing multiple championships after his successful 2019 and 2020 seasons were cut short due to injury. 2020 brought the fresh face of Smith who earned three top-5 finishes out of the four rounds he competed in before withdrawing early due to injury. McAdoo returned in 2020 to the brand that he found great success with throughout his amateur career, achieving career-bests in both supercross and motocross series, and looks to keep that momentum going into next season. Making his professional debut, Hammaker is set to join the team for both series at the beginning of the 2021 season.

The 2021 Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki racing team is positioned for another championship campaign and awaits the announcement of the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship and AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Was hoping to see another name like Mumford on there.

No Jett? Smith looks to have possibly peaked but I guess Mitch has not wrote him off yet.

Crazy that their two most experienced guys raced a combined total of 13 rounds this year in SX and MX. Probably about $25K in salary per race.

Will anyone be stoked if they find out that Shimoda and Mumford both get to stay on some very nice Hondas...?

I think the McAdoo and Smith still had another year left on their contracts. Forkner is a no brainer. I dont know anything about the other guy. He must show a lot of potential.

With all due respect to those four riders, I don't see this lineup returning Pro Circuit to their former glory. Maybe Forkner can bring them a supercross title if he stays upright for a whole series.

He was supposed to be "THEE" guy this year at Loretta's but got hurt this year and last. Evidently he is showing pro speed.

I could be wrong but I think Penrite is going 450 only with Brayton and Clout

Smith and McAdoo still? I guess Mitch will spend 2021 watching Star Yamaha lift trophies again.

I agree star will be winning a lot but you can’t forget that Smith was a few laps away from winning a championship back in the day but crashed. Him coming in fully healthy I think he can win races. Same with McAdoo. Love the way McAdoo races, no friends out on the track.

I’m thinking there’s gonna be 3 or 4 Honda supported teams. 2 of those will be for 250s.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't know the backstory on Marchbanks? Seems like from a skill and age perspective he would be someone most teams would be happy to have...

You're talking about '17, Smith better not screw up '21 or he won't find a factory ride after that.

Tigers don't change their stripes. Both Jordan Smith and RJ Hampshire have been fast as fuck since 2015, but they cannot put a full season together. I don't see this changing,,,,

Hammaker is relatively old, right? Like soon to be 20?

Smith just has no confidence right now. If he gets his confidence built up this off-season he could do damage to a title chase..

The talent is there... right now he looks like he is riding scared, and then getting yelled at in the pits to try harder and bam injured again..

Smith has all the talent and speed in the world. But as soon as the gate drops, most of the times he stops thinking

He has Epstein Barr and hasn’t been on a bike much so I don’t think he is ready
