There are a lot of people here who like to dance close to the flames. I get tired of playing fireman/janitor.

When I get back from the summer tour, I’m going to have a discussion with our developers about removing Non-Moto.
That’s a shame, removing non moto. I’ve met a lot of good guys on both sides of the forum.

A lot of great stuff in non-moto. Don't get rid of it on the count of a few bad apples.
Can't people get around IP bans with a proxy ?

It's more common these days, so it becomes like whack-a-mole.

That is 100% not going to happen.

And I was just putting the squash on it before someone else chimes in suggesting they think it's a good idea.

It's too bad it's pretty much impossible to have a civil political discussion these days. The world we live in.

Non Moto is where I hang out most. Some good folk hang out there and it would be a great loss to see it go.

I find there is more garbage to sift through in the actual moto section . Some people start topics just to post or ask the dumbest shit.

Non-Moto is unique. Moto guys talking about other stuff. Just as if we were at the track. I've learned a lot here in the 9 years I've been frequenting. About myself, other people, different views, cool things, current events, etc. Certainly draws me back to Vital as much as Moto does.

It is what it is. Nothing surprises me anymore in 2020.

There was an old saying about politics and religion being best not discussed in public or amongst friends or something like that. It seems a good practice with the proliferation of social media.

Yep It's not my forum but I think it would be a huge mistake to eliminate non moto.
Like you said I've learned a lot as well over the years and if it's true that getting clicks helps the site sponsors than I would only imagine that the click usage would go down a lot without non moto.

I'm on a Yamaha street bike forum and they have many different sections in it as well including "Off Topic". It gets a LOT of activity. The admin's make it very clear that politics will not be tolerated and after a warning people get clicked not sure why it's hard to understand.

So does this mean that we're gonna talk about Moto GP, road racing, sports, general advise and UFO'S Woohoo in the moto section? Dry

Exactly!

I will not discuss those two topics in a public forum. Might as well bang your head against the wall! Dizzy

What the hell does NFM mean?

That would be a huge mistake.

Just some honest feedback for you.

And what about Sunhouse's FANTASTIC picture stories--going to places that seem dangerous in this crazy World we live in?

He offers a perspective that is neutral and not biased by the crooked news media. The pictures he provided were incredible to my eyes and I certainly would not have the balls to go there.

You cannot get that kind of perspective easily and I for one am VERY GRATEFUL he shared it with us VitalMX folks who care about that stuff.

To me, while it is not Moto it does make this forum unique and for stuff like that to DISAPPEAR would be HUGE LOSS imo. Unsure

to be honest i usually only come to Vital for the home-page stuff and Non-Moto. the moto side of things has become completely ridiculous.

Same threads, same whining. Current events help to draw site traffic.

Nice looking ride you got there! I like the red, looks especially cool with tinted windows and all black rims.

I sure hope Gibby can find a way to keep non-moto. Home cooking, photos, tech help. Ask about any topic and there is someone that knows something about it and does their best to help.
