Former 125 world champ, Brian Hsu, is looking a ride - preferably in the USA so he can race MX and SX.

The kid can ride both disciplines well (former top ten GP rider until injuries) and if any US teams need a rider he could well be worth checking out!

How many times have I heard this, he hasn’t rode a competitive championship in a number of years now.

The question is...was it an interview he actually did or pieced together from other publications to appear as an interview....

He hasn't rode for many teams though? What do you know?

If he can show results on 250 East with a privateer ride, he’ll eventually get picked up. Probably gotta prove himself in supercross before any US teams take the chance on him over guys already here with SX experience.

He’s always had awesome technique and skill and ever since 85’s has been cool to watch.

I think he has what it takes to be successful in the US, just has to find a way to get over here and put in a good training camp.

So he was Factory Susuki's rising star, but that all went down the pan, he got injured, and everything he has touched since has turned to shit.. nobody is interested, otherwise he would be signed instead of scratting for a seat.. and he must be close to aging out as well. Yes he can ride, but i guess the 'baggage' is too much to take on... Pootjes in similar position, won everything as a kid, done nothing as a Pro, based on early talent .

Brian showed flashes again this winter in the Euro indoor races. I'd really like to see what he can do with a proper and consistent bike/team whether it's here or in Europe. He's got skills, just needs to stay healthy.

Not sure what the deal is with his constantly switching teams. Definitely not a great sign from the outside looking in. Here's hoping for the best for Hsu.

So "he pissed off every team in Europe" is code for "he missed his window due to injury"???

I'm just trying to understand if there was drama or he simply didn't live up to his potential.

Wasn’t he riding for Everts & Hsu told him he didn’t wanna ride GP’s anymore, went to the States, nobody wanted him so he can back to Europe with his tail between his legs. Everyone was signed up, he had nowhere to go, that was in 2016. He’s rode for multiple teams since & he’s constantly injured.

Which team in Europe has he pissed off exactly? Factory Suzuki? The team that doesn't even exist anymore?

He had some great races and speed on the husky in MX2 GP’s, but was combined with bad luck and bike malfunctions. I think he has the best shot if he goes to the states with a privateer effort (or some support) and invests in himself. I’m not aware of his financial situation so I cant decide for him, but that is his best chance IMO

Since Suzuki, he hasnt stayed long anywhere.

A rider with his talent should be in demand.. he isnt, because he ages out this year.. nobody looks like they want to take a chance.

He thought he was the next Roczen, and he wasnt,7 years as a factory supported guy, he left and it went bad real quick.. plus he doesnt seem to have a following in Germany, he didnt want to be interviewed in German at the ADAC SX cos he doesnt speak it well enough, which is weird.

Why is it weird?
I don't speak swahili very well so i'd prefer to be interviewed in english. Whats the difference?

I know he was a super hyped amateur and the biggest name junior in europe for a long time. Injuries dont care what continent you're on they can cut you down pretty quickly. I hope he does get a ride in the US at some point, it seemed like for a long time that was where he wanted to end up, be good to see him get a proper crack at it. Who knows how likely that is though

I remember seeing him at Cremona mx track 10yearso ago, i was like 8yo, i still have a photo with him.
He was like Facchetti, the promise of italian motocross.
Now you see where they both are...

Facchetti is still on a top level team. Riding EMX250 for Yamaha Europe this year. He could possible end up on the Factory Yamaha Squad MX2 next year if he ends that championship on a high note.

That’s something completely different then Hsu story, he is older and burned allot of bridges and no one top level team seems interesting in him anymore.

Facchetti on a factory Yam next year, you sure about that? Kid can’t string 2 consistent motos together.

I also said possible and end the championship on a high note. ( title or top 3)

I agree he crashes allot and dealing with injury’s the last couple off seasons. But he got the speed to win in the EMX class so it’s a possibility he could take over Watson his spot when he wins the title...

He won titles before so he is capable of it, right now it’s time to put those moto’s together like you said.
