I agree, he obviously doesnt need the $$, some say his net worth is north of $500mil!

"His current contract with Ferrari puts his annual salary to $36 million along with bonuses, making him one of the richest drivers in the F1 grid. The length of his contract runs till the end of 2020 after which it is anybody’s guess. He’s driven for two very rich teams: Red Bull with their massive budget and Ferrari with their legacy, ensuring his lifetime earnings have crossed $500 million – $511 million to be precise, before 2019."

He is a 4 time World Champion and really doesnt have much more to prove, sadly his recent form makes even the biggest Seb fans (like myself) want to take a deep dive into depression lol Regardless, he will surely be missed on the grid.
Meanwhile Grosjean still has a job. It's a crazy world.

Martin Brundle announces he has an interview with Sebastian Vettel next Thursday in Hungary, which was requested by Sebastian himself.

$20 says it will be a retirement announcement.

You didn't think a requested interview from Vettel himself was about retirement? That's the first thing that came to mind. I hope not, but I don't have any other idea.

Just curious, what do you think it's about if not retirement?

I did not think anything. After reading what Scottie wrote, I think he is right.

When running in the wet you don't run the traditional line through the corners. The pavement there has a lot of the sand and smaller aggregate scrubbed off of the surface. Runnin about a half to a full car width outside that line gives you an opportunity to have greater grip.

In case anyone was wondering.

... and stay off of anything painted. Blink

Is someone running a belt sander behind the podium?!

George Russell in that Williams in 12th, not far off the Ferrari of Leclerc. Impressive.

With Hamilton on the pole this might be a done deal. Hope Verstappen can give him a run for it. Maybe McLaren can Podium again. Not sure why they chose to hold qualifying in the rain. Since tomorrow is going to be dry they could have done it in the morning. All that did was f*** things up in my opinion.

Maybe he can be the reserve driver for Mercedes next year!

Some good inter-team battles this year. I am paying close attention to Ocon vs. Ricciardo in the Renault garage. I think Ocon can beat him.

Watching the pre race show... during the Bottas interview the stands of prepped tires was staggering! Suffice to say I have a set of "dry's" the tires on 8" rims and the "wet's" on the 6.5" rims!😂

This looks to be a total yawner, Hammy already with a 2.5sec lead.

WOW now Ocon is out, the only good race on the track was going to be him vs RIC.

Charles tried sticking his car up the inside of Seb on lap one, there was no room whatsoever.

"The Mexican is far from taking a siesta!"

Not trying to derail a great racing thread, it caught me as funny given the current climate
