So it's Carlos to Scuderia.

If there is a F1 season I believe it'll be Seb's last.

Side note ... 24hr LeMons looks like it'll be a different event with teams not going, now Corvette backing out as well.

How about a Bottas - Vettel seat swap? Read an article mentioning Valterri to Ferrari and SV to MB. Would be nice to watch that unfold.

Watching all these vids on YouTube about Seb leaving and who will replace him...man it still hasnt not sunk in, im really bummed out and would hate to see him in a mid pack car. His only choice has to be to walk away? Then who do i root for? Surely wont be that spoiled little brat Leclerc, maybe Daniel if he gets the Ferrari seat?

I am really gutted, Seb has been my guy since his first pole/race win in the Torro Rosso back in like '08. It going to be hard to find a replacement.

Just saw this on twitter, sounds reasonable:

Vettel and McLaren won't happen. Seb declined the offer. McLaren told him that they need at least 3 years to have a winning car.

For Vettel it's either Mercedes or retirement.

He sure as hell isn't going to Renault.

Close the book, it's done.

I also read that Danny Ric to take Sainz seat, as Sainz to Scuda is a done deal.

I gotta stop reading, my head is gonna explode. Dizzy

Here is more from Racefans.net:

Carlos Sainz Jnr has emerged as the front-runner to replace Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari, while Daniel Ricciardo has been tipped to take his McLaren seat.

If that's the case and say Vettel do go to Mercedes, I guess that means Bottas goes to Renault to replace Ricciardo or he's out of a seat for a couple years until a top seat opens up.

That or retirement?

Martin Brundle said Vettel is definitely speaking to at least one other team.
I think that would be Renault or Mclaren, Like KMC said, I just cant see him wanting to go head to head with Hamilton in a team that he is deeply embedded in. but maybe I am wrong.
I think ultimately he will retire happily and rich.

If Ricciardo does go to Mclaren between him and Norris its a marketer's dream.

And whilst I think Mclaren are still a few years away from wins, with a Merc engine next year, and cost caps coming in. its not out of the question in a few years.

to be fair, its there are basically a couple of podium positions per year that go to any drivers not in the 6 cars from RB, Merc and Ferrari.
He did stack up very well with Verstappen when they were at ToroRosso (although not great against Hulk at Renault)

I read that Vettel had offers from Renault and McLaren. Apparently already turned down Renault.

I don't think things on the grid will settle until Vettel has a seat or calls it quits. I would think he's first in line for a seat.

We'll see. I personally hope he stays for at least a couple more years since he's my favorite driver, but I won't be surprised if he retires.

They can't all be Kimi's.

Seb was going to stick it out with Ferrari until they pushed the rule changes back as far as they did. He knows what's up at Ferrari and won't play second to anyone. No one will be competitive with Merc till the rules change period.

He's going to retire. Sad but true..

So now Fernando Alonso might end up at Renault.

For anyone interested there's an 18 minute video on F1's YouTube channel that's discussing the 2021 driver market with Will Buxton and F1.com senior writer Lawrence Barretto.

I can't post it here because they don't allow their videos to play on other websites.
