I don't know what Jimenez thing is or the thinking, but, then why did Miami-Dade county just close a bunch of stuff back down, like eating in at restaurants?
Everyone is in a mask. Stores require masks to enter, and that is demanded by the county.

Statement from Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez on additional closures related to COVID-19 surge
MIAMI ( July 06, 2020 ) — I am continuing to roll back business openings as we continue to see a spike in the percent of positive COVID-19 tests and an uptick in hospitalizations.
I am signing an emergency order that will close restaurants (except for takeout and delivery services), along with ballrooms, banquet facilities, party venues, gyms and fitness centers, and short-term rentals. These closings, among others that will be included in the order, will be effective Wednesday, July 8, 2020. We want to ensure that our hospitals continue to have the staffing necessary to save lives.
At this time, I plan to keep open various outdoor activities, including condominium and hotel pools with strict social distancing and masks rules, as well as summer camps and child daycare centers with strict capacity limits, requiring masks and social distancing of at least 6 feet.
Beaches will be open on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, but, if we see crowding and people not following the public health rules, I will be forced to close the beaches again.
Office buildings, retail stores and grooming services will remain open for now.
The 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Countywide curfew will remain in force with exceptions for essential workers and for people who have a religious obligation.
We are still tracking the spike in the number of cases involving 18- to 34-year-olds that began in mid-June, which the County’s medical experts say was caused by a number of factors, including young people going to congested places — indoors and outside — without taking precautions such as wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Contributing to the positives in that age group, the doctors have told me, were graduation parties, gatherings at restaurants that turned into packed parties in violation of the rules and street protests where people could not maintain social distancing and where not everyone was wearing facial coverings.
We can tamp down the spread if everyone follows the rules, wears masks and stays at least six feet apart from others. I am counting on you, our 2.8 million residents, to stop the spread so that we can get back to opening our economy.

so everyone sits in their houses for 3 months, nobody moves or does anything, then let out, nobody has it and 2 guys fly from another country that have it and visit Disney, New York and several other vacation destinations, then what?
Just limit all gatherings to essential services only, its not essential to have 20 of your friends over for a few beers,
(although it pains me to say that haha)

Why is it so difficult to comprehend there is NO consensus of opinion from the medical "experts" regarding the use of masks and social distancing.
I dont wear a mask in public at the moment, very few people do in my area due to low infection rates, but as soon as the medical advisors recommend everyone does it in my area, I will. its not a big deal to me
I am not denying it is a serious virus and care should be taken. how many people in USA dies of Tuberculosis last year? did everybody wear a mask and shut down the economy over that?
People should listen to their conscience. the cure should not be worse than the disease

The tuberculosis comparison is silly because guess what, tuberculosis has a vaccine. I know this sounds crazy, but between a known vaccine and the included herd immunity TB is all but gone from the US. On average around 500 people die of it yearly here. In poor countries that lack even basic sanity conditions and no medication is it any surprise TB runs wild, kinda like COVID19 without a vaccine and basic attempts to stem the spread. I don't need to hear talking points from a conspiracy theory video, I like actual data.
1. Breathing pure oxygen is fatal. Air is approx 21% 02. No recommended mask removes oxygen from the air we breath. Your dirt bike breaths air, but only a fool runs it without a filter.
2. Survival rate is not 99.9%. At the current rate, if every US citizen contracts the virus 13.2 Million will die. Preventing this is worth at least some effort. IMHO.
3. This Meme is a hoax. More than 130 000 Americans have died in a few months due Covid 19. Are they really alive and hiding somewhere?
Some people choose to believe this baseless propaganda - then through their actions/inactions spread the virus and cause peoples death. Difficult for me to understand.
We all want the Nationals to go ahead.
We all want Covid 19 to go away. (Vaccine, Magic, what ever)
Hopefully a way is found for the racing to continue as soon as possible, without excessive risk of spreading the virus.
