I don't know if it is because I grew up watching Carmichael, Windham, Stewart, Reed but it sure seems like the number of legends in our sport is starting to die down. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Tomac and Roczen but they have some big shoes to fill. Whether you love or hate Chad there is no denying his heart and will to keep going. I hope we see him next year even if it is for just a few races.

Maybe he's seeing the writing on the wall about trying to race a few random races next year, it's just going to get tougher for him. Hopefully he at least comes out and does some nac nacs at select opening ceremonies.

I'm not sure, but it's going to be a sad day when Reed is no longer on the gate.

People don't have to like him, but they have to respect that he did his own way.

He'll be missed.

There's a lot of Reed nostalgia after today's race, understandably. I case anyone missed it, this press conference he did via Zoom with Daniel Blair and the media was pretty good:

The Matthes and Reed podcast is a great listen if you haven’t checked it out yet. Lots of cool stories I haven’t heard.

Yep, just finished tonight and it got me thinking "How is there not a huge thread about Chad on Vital right now?"

Love him, hate him, don't matter. He's a damn legend.

The guy has delivered some of the best rides ever. 2005 SD, Daytona, 2014 A2, ......
2011 outdoor dominance, until ......

Damn, think of 2014 A2, A3. Ten years after his first title, the way he handled RV, RD, JS, KR. ........ Badass.

He was a killer in the 2009 nationals. I watched him race Ricky and James at Washougal a few times and he was a tick off but he definitely had something for anyone that wanted some in 2009. One of the best to ever do it.
