Rules are rules. If they docked some 250 riders they had to dock him. Sux for JG though that it happened on his first 450 moto win.

They should have had the yellow/red on the outside of the corner, NOT on the inside. They had a regular yellow flag on the outside, that is what Grant could see.

If they do dock him points, the AMA is wrong.

Yeah, I saw that too. The flaggers need to be more assertive when they are waving those flagsand get out to where they can be seen better.

Everyone with a TV saw the red/yellow flag. It was not invisible. Alessi acknowledged it. Grant should be docked like the 250 guys.

Well...if they dock him , it's bullshit! The way he came around that uphill corner i don't think he saw the flags in time. If he would of let off just a "tad" , he would of had one hell of an impact on the face of that down hill double.

Seems to me he was already committed , and didn't have a choice but to clear it. M.A. saw it because he was looking ahead towards grant , i think Grant may have took a quick look off to his left to check out where M.A. was , and by that time it was to late....clear it , or eat shiot biotch!!

But you also saw just a yellow on the inside so which one was the right flag?

Why was the yellow/red flag even out? From the telecast I did not see any rider down on the landing of the jump. I have no replay to look at from the telecast I just got a quick look when they showed it.

If it was a flagger error it could be a non issue.

I'm sure Suzuki is filing protests and the Ref is in the TV truck trying to figure out what happened.

I have the vid. I'll try to slice that moment out and post it.

If you are unsure, you do not second guess it. Acknowledge them both. Alessi did , Grant did not. End of story.

Bogus.

As far as I am concerned Grant won the moto.

Fair call. Flagger error or not, you better not jump when you see the red/yellow.

You can only be unsure if you see both flags in time to make a go-no go decision. From watching the vid, I think It is very reasonable that Grant may not have seen the inside flagger from his line. Remember, Alessi was behind Grant on a different line.

How do you know he saw the yellow/red flag?

I looks like he saw the regular yellow flag that was on the outside of the track.

If you run a stop sign that you did not see, and the cops see you do it , you get penalized. As a rider, like the stop sign runner, the "I did not see it " deal does not get you out of the infraction/penalty.

If they're waving both flags, you could reasonably plead confusion, I'd think.

Then they should have been displaying the yellow/red on both sides of the track, not a yellow on the outside and a yellow/red on the inside.

Stupid rule if it is implemented properly.
