Any of you guys watching this man MJ really was on a whole other level from the rest of the players in the league.
The dude was ruthless--to his teammates, management and even the owner, the press anybody that stood in his way of doing what he admitted, he was obsessed with and that was WINNING! He never lost an NBA finals series that he competed in and ultimately won 5.
He said he would do anything, just to win the game.
MJ truly is the goat of NBA basketball I don't even know how anybody could question that.
If you need a reminder episode 5 is tonight (ESPN) and you can catch up on the previous 4 episodes on Demand.
I saw an interview with MJ before the series came out and he said "people aren't gonna like me after watching this". That is a bold statement my friends!

Watching him in his youth through high school and college and as a rookie you can just see his HUGE advancement each year.
I remember watching him in the NCAA playoffs and he won the game and the tournament for North Carolina Tarheels and I called my good buddy and told him have you seen this Michael Jordan guy he's gonna be something.
There is no way in hell I would have known he would become one of the most recognizable guys on the planet.

...and they signed him for $250k.
the underpayment of Scottie Pippen, teh dream team and Scotty and MJ going after Cukoc, the Nike deal, all have all been really interesting,
but like the OP, he was just that much better than anyone, and hated to lose so bad he wouldnt let it happen,
found the parts about Rodman real interesting as well,

That Dream Team practice segment was awesome - can you imagine sitting court side watching that?
Some fuckin plumbers playing in the league back then. It's weird. They let em play really rough and hard defense – but at the same time the athletic level is nothing like it is now.
Only thing i'd say about the doc is it's really biased – he's had final say on all of it. The Isiah stuff obviously... gambling... any controversy etc, would be awesome if it was no holds barred....
They wanted $3M by year 4. They made $126M in year one!
And they fucking paid 70 bucks for their logo. Cunts!
We had just won game 4 a triple overtime thriller in Chicago.
Momentum was on our side for game 5 in Phx we had a 4 point lead with less than a minute to go and Michael grabs the rebound and goes coast to coast.
After that we were keyed on him and he dishes the ball to Paxon who nailed a 3 and the rest is history.
I was at the game it was so freaking loud and when he hit that shot you could hear a pin drop!
I still have nightmares that was a good team of Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, Dan Marleigh, Tom chambers and the rookie sensation Richard Dumas who ultimately would have drug issues and drop out of the league.....
It was my 1st year as a ticket holder as they just built America West arena and I worked for the airline.
They just signed Charles Barkley and when I found out on the radio that's when I signed up. It was a fantastic season until the end.
Go to the finals against Michael Jordan my 1st year as a ticket holder and we haven't been back since--talk about a tease!
I've been to a couple instant classic cricket, league and rugby matches here. Live sports when it's a historical game is pretty unbelievable!
Ever since Jerry Colengeo sold the team to Robert Sarver it's been a struggle.
The Steve Nash years were good (7 seconds or less was awesome!) but couldn't get pass the Spurs the crooked Ref Tim Donahae (who did jail time, and ref'd those CRUCIAL Suns games!) and Robert Horry when he pushed Nash into the boards when we had them on the ropes....

Nike was a very small company still.
Years later they gifted the logo designer Nike stock at a special event in her honor. No one knows what the value of the stock is but rumor is it’s several million dollars.
I think she was well taken care of.
Anyway this is pretty good (peely might not like it... 😜), it's MJ's revenge stories.....

But I can’t imagine any player truly stacks up to what Wilt Chamberlain did in his career.
