Suspension Input - 2018 350 sxf

Edited Date/Time 4/28/2020 5:09pm
I am stuck between Factory Connection and Race Tech. I am going to have my forks and shock revalved along with changing my rear shock to a bladder system. Covid-19 has given me time freshen up the bike.

The decision I am stuck on has to do with the FC AER fork performance kit. Is it worth it? I have only been able to find a few reviews about it. Just wondering about people's personal experience with it now that it has been on the market for a while.

I don't have the money for CV and both FC and RT services will cost about the same.

Thank you

My input would be to go with ohlins inserts for the forks. Or mx tech lucky inserts. Pass on revalving the aers. And also the bladder isnt night and day. But the cartridge kits will be night and day and money wisely spent. In my opinion.

I rode a 450 done by Kreft that wasn't even set up for my weight, the fork mods are pretty amazing.

My 350 forks and shock are at Kreft now getting the full treatment.

I had a 13 CRF450 and loved the air fork with revalve. Then I got a 17 kx450 and then air forks was beyond horrible. So buy my first ktm last year 19.5 FE, I had intentions on doing spring conversation before I ever rode it. I have 20 hours on it now and I love that air fork. That being said, I’m think I’m going to try Keft also.

Bladder? Why?
Absolutely go to Enzo. My 2017 KTM 350 was phenomenal

I have the FC kit on my TC125 and ENZO KYB conversion on my FC350. ENZO is a no brainer if you have the money. It’s not even comparable.

Make one phone call and get it to the right guy. Call Brian @ N2 Dirt in Canyon Country, CA. He’s a member on here as well.

MX-Tech Lucky Gen 2 for experts and racers. Gen 1 for all others. Literally best performance vs cost ratio. High performance spring conversion that only adds about a pound to the front end.

OEM shock re-valved with linkage absolutely transforms the bike and chassis.

National shock if you've got the dough.

What kind of turn around time did Kreft give you and how was the shipping process? I completed the rider information form this morning, waiting for a call/email back to discuss the services they offer.

I think the N2D guys can help you with that bike for a reasonable cost. I use their rear knuckle on my 350 XCF and it was a solid improvement over the stock one. I think they have that bike pretty dialed. And they were very nice folks to work with. Thus any follow up help should be excellent too.
My 3 cents

Thank you for the input. After speaking with a few different suspension companies over the phone, I decided to spend a little extra and go with Kreft. The customer service alone is amazing. I spent an hour on the phone with one of the team members going over everything I wanted out of my suspension. Once I received my quote, I called back with a few additional questions that they were happy to answer. You would think every company would be willing to help like that. Especially with the possibility of sales dropping due to covid.

Taking the suspension off today and sending it out.

Will kreft still be air forks? Sounds like a good choice as the reviews have all been amazing!

The team and customer service over at Kreft is amazing.! The presentation when I opened this box was also spot on.! Absolutely the best product presentation I have ever seen in the moto industry.
I am going to do an "average joe" review here pretty quick. I have had "kit" suspension the last 10 years or so and most recently a set of new cone valves so It will be an interesting experience and im excited to try it out. I have high expectations.

YES. I have the exact kit you’re wanting!

My FC AER performance kit is unreal good.

I love the AER fork to begin with, and then they go and make this upgrade kit that is leaps upgraded from stock. I highly suggest their aftermarket shock bladder. You won’t be disappointed my man.

I’m about to get on the road so I can’t go until full detail but send me a dm on insta and I’ll give you the full walk through of why the upgrade is worth it. @rippinruts

Go to Loretta's and the place is littered with Powerband stickers on forks. I had them do my 17 350 and it totally transformed the bike. Just had them do my kids 85 as well and he loves the changes Billy made.

They quoted 3-1/2 weeks, got everything back in just under 3, it would have been sooner but there was a delay with Fedex.

I received a large amount of documentation and set up info in the box, Haven't had time to look at it all yet.

I got every service they offer, going to bolt everything back to the bike this weekend.

The FC revalve is really good, but the air fork characteristics still rear its ugly head in different situations. Which is why I’m going Ohlins.
