Can we stop having RC design the tracks. I think every year they get worse and this year it is just not racing well. Follow the leader.

It looks like it is coming down to a start. Those guys are all fast, and not much for passing even in the 180's because of the rut situation.

Hopefully they don’t groom it. Only way to slow down the main line and open up options. If they keep grooming it, only that main line will be used and the other lanes will be slower because the fastest line never gets rough enough.

Think Roczen takes the win again tonight. Great starter and even if he doesn't get the start he seems to be the only one who can make passes on this track.

Really good point. If you keep knocking down the berms, they have to build them up again...which will take 10 minutes of the main. I like this thought...everyone thinks you need to groom the shit out of it every break. Don't tear everything down...just fill in the jagged edged ruts a little and let it ride.

I really want Tomac to take it....but I think you're right. He looked way to comfy to beat tonight. If KR starts in the top 6 he's golden I think.

No, he did, he just did it right....early. You have to strike while everyone is bunched up...otherwise, everyone falls in place.

That being said...it's a long race...it might change up in the main.

Dude's my age and I stopped racing 10 years ago...and never, obviously, raced at this level. I'll always have respect for this dude. 38 and placing in the top 15 is fuckin solid man, let alone his stand out nights where he gets the flash of speed. Hats off to a legend.

I was, admittedly, an RC in the booth hater at first...and I'm with you, I idolized him when I was younger...but all that said...he's doing waaayyyyy better this year than last. I think he's getting comfy. It takes time to get comfortable talking knowing that 10's to 100's of thousands of people are watching you (millions maybe, on nights like Daytona). Gotta respect him.

Although, I will say...I really liked having him trackside. He had solid insight.

Fair, but I think there were two factors there: the riders he was passing wasn't Tomac, Webb, Anderson, etc. Although he did blow by Barcia, and 2) he did his passing early, when everyone was bunched up. 10 minutes into the race could be a different story. We'll see.

My hope is that it starts like this: Roczen, Webb, Tomac, Anderson, Barcia....race on.
