So far, the CDC has estimated (based on weekly influenza surveillance data) that at least 12,000 people have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000.Feb 11, 2020

I’ve been quarantined in my house for a week with mono and strep. It was a classic case of over working and not enough sleep.
Nothing heals better than sleep and limiting your interactions with people.

Exactly, currently it is 34x deadlier with a similar transmission rate. The worlds largest country doesn't shut itself down and risk a recession for the flu.

It’s scary. We had a school shut down mile from me because the father traveled to Italy and came back and gave to his son who went to a homeschool type activity school.
I’m surprised they haven’t done a complete travel ban to Italy with how high the infection is there.

I jokingly asked Ken about it last week (after being on a flight where the two women next to me were wearing masks and fully sanitized their armrests, tray tables, etc.) He was concerned about it then, and basically said he does the same thing on every flight.

I don't blame him.

Wouldn't be surprised to see many other riders taking the precaution and frankly I can't blame them. No matter how much you are or aren't concerned about it, no reason to risk your season for autographs.

I think seattle will get cancelled. Our governer said today on the radio that soon they will be limiting big gatherings. They already want it to be 10 or less. I would expect a statement in the next few days or less. People are listening. Traffics been really light all week and lots of closed schools.lets be positive and hope it's not bad. I've seen alot of change this week in seattle for sure
