Larry Ward on the Moto XXX Yamaha was SOOO sick. He came and raced some off-road races in the southeast during that time and laid the wood on some trails. It was awesome to see.

WOW! What a ride. He's a Washington guy. Remember he won the Seattle Supercross in the early 90's at the Kingdom.

Those YZ's that Noleen built for Big Bird were bad ass!!!! One of the few privateer bikes that could keep up w/ (or beat) the factory bikes at the time...

Great to hear from Larry Ward on the PulpMX show Monday night.

This is a great thread! Can't believe how his career lasted through so many generations of bikes. I'd love to see more threads like this.

Larry went to Yamaha in 01 and I believe he became the 1st guy to win a National on the all new 4 stroke YZ250F.
This is true...riding for Team Moto XXX..what another proud moment for us..our lil punk rock team and we had now won a Supercross and a outdoor National..

Was an honor to have Larry ride for our team

It was a great listen, and Larry seemed genuinely surprised that people not only remembered him, but were happy to see him back at the races. I have some pictures of Larry Ward that I will have to dig up and share in this thread.
