Sexton has proven he is the most consistent of these riders, he has the speed to win obviously and gets good starts. It's his championship to lose in a sense.

For one I’ve heard the riders refer to the 250 class as “lites” and second smith was the man to lose the title in ‘17 in Vegas. He did blow it but he is pretty rad and was the only guy to lead a lap besides Forkner last year before his departure. I think he is underestimated but that’s why the race.

I saw that Lance Kobusch was on the Tampa entry list. No mention of him anywhere. Remember he was a fast amateur with Team Green a few years ago. What happened and who's he riding for now?

He rode for Suzuki amateur team last year. Not sure what he’s up to for the season.

He does win some opening rounds but so does Barcia. Look I have a McElrath T-shirt and like the guy but he can’t close. I’m on board with smith hanging it out or J-Mart with a chip on his shoulder. That’s how I succeeded early in life was trying to rub it in the face of everyone who doubts. I’ve since become a Christian like the Martins and changed my tune so there is that. But still winners are winners and while I did not like Martin because my family are Webb fans I want him to win now.

Personally I think Sexton is over rated. He won the East last year but hasn’t done much else and is guaranteed a factory Honda 450 ride.
