I’ve enjoyed riding this bike every now and then over the years, now it will take pride of place on the mantle. I have a rm125 to do up next which will be a 2001 pastrana replica.

Thanks mate, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The alloy finish on the parts was relatively easy to achieve but it was time consuming

I sandblasted the shifter to remove the original coating, polished and brushed the main part of the shifter. I then had a mate turn up a small billet alloy button on the lathe to fit snug in the end of the tip.



There is actually a factory Suzuki gear shifter on eBay right now

heay mate i am building a rm myself and i live in australia just want to know where you got the footpegs from having trouble finding any aftermarket ones.

Bit of progress, tidied up my front brake carrier which I’d been using when the bike was riden. I mounted it up with the new motostuff works billet caliper. Hey Shaun, I got these NOS ti pegs on eBay years ago. I got 2 sets both brand new from docwob I believe. Getting hard to get a hold of these days though

They came up well mate, very happy with the colour combo. I’ve got a works Suzuki front disc on the way aswell which will help set it off even more. The one I have is an Australian factory disc which was a different style to the American factory discs

AMA factory Suzuki disc showed up, in need of a good clean up but should be able to get it looking decent with some elbow grease

At this stage I won’t be riding it. The bike is currently in my living room on display but once I sort out a shed it will end up out in the shed. I admit I do miss riding it

Small update, I received a couple of cool parts I’ve been searching for for years. Works Suzuki rear brake clevis with titanium pin and Suzuki etched Hinson clutch cover. Also started cleaning up the works front disc, still have a little bit of work to do on it until I’m happy with it

I was surprised when the one on eBay was still there so I bought it decided I want to do a Carmichael replica after seeing yours it gave me some motivation you happen to know if any more bar pads 😂
