I dont have much doubt that the live broadcast will be ok tomorrow it just torques me that I cant watch all the replays from the last couple of years without mirroring my phone to the tv.

Soooooo Is it worth buying or not?

Because im on the fence, I was going to buy it then this thread popped up. 90$ is steep for a product that doesn't work as they say it should.

I will be watching via Roku TV, Insignia

I had issues years ago with the foxsports app and the races, and frankly i dont want a repeat of that noise.

also i work in I.T. so troubleshooting is not a problem, But a shoddy built app is a major problem no matter what you do.

I've considered getting this Gold pass for a couple of years. Here's the deal...I have zero tech skills. I can't seem to convey this to those that DO understand phones, computers, smart tv, and the internet in general. "A work around" is just something else I don't know how to do. Like motomike said early on...if I pay my money...I want it to work. I realise that for a lot of folks "getting it to work" is an enjoyable exercise because they "understand" what they are dealing with. I ain't in that group. It's confusing and frustrating. Yes, I am old and missed the tech boat...and I'm ok with that. But I ain't ok with paying for something and being told, "hope you can figure out how to make it work fugger".

I have been using it since 2018. The only issues I have had were at the end of last outdoor season. The final few weeks the Roku app was having pretty major issues and the race would have to be restarted every 10-15 mins. You can search to find the threads. My FireTV worked flawlessly during the issues I was having with the Roku.

I just signed into both my Roku and FireTV and discovered that there are no race replays available. I will be opening a ticket with NBC.

I can view the replays fine on my phone and from PC.

Definitely a little disconcerting.

Also I am an IT guy as well so don't mind troubleshooting, but when it is the apps issue not really much you can do.

The MX category says no content available, and yes I paid my 2019 & 2020 fees. I kinda like rewatching the races, it’s what was advertised when I paid the subscription fee.

This is correct, although I dig the service.

I just spoke with tech support at NBC. The have confirmed that the replay feature was broken with the latest app update to "some" FireTV and Roku devices(I didn't ask about AppleTV as I don't have ATV.) According to the information she had it did not effect all devices but when I told her the devices I was using she was able to verify that my devices were listed.

They are working on a fix.

The most important thing to me is tomorrow. She assured me this should not cause issues with live streaming/upcoming events.

Even with the little issues I still think the service is worth it, IMO!!

Give the tech support a call. I only had to hold for about 10 min. Lady was super friendly and had very good English(not Indian call center.)

The video stream starts, plays for about one minute then the screen locks up. Any suggestions? I emailed nbc and waiting.

trying to watch on my phone, but every time i hit the qualifying stream this happens but the stream never starts. anyone else having this issue? any suggestions?

Ok glad I'm not alone. It also just started making my Roku ultra overheat and it's only a month old. I have never had a Roku give me that warning before. This app is a piece of crap. Glad I can watch the race on YouTube TV.

I kept on signing in and out of the gold app and it eventually worked but video quality stutters every once and while.

If you have a home computer / laptop to hook to your TV , I've had no problems for the past few years , just using Windows with Firefox. Been flawless.

Watching practice/qualifying on my phone is working well. Will be watching the night program on NBC Sports on satellite tv.

I would work on getting it to work now if I was you. I don't see the broadcast fixing itself or some how be different compared to what we get tonight . Have you tried customer support.

I've paid, downloaded the NBC Gold App on my Samsung......logged in.

When I click on SX live the following comes up....fuckall else. Feel like slitting someone's throat.
