In your opinion, what was the best 250 2-Stroke of the 90's for motocross racing?

My opinion would be the Kx250 with the YZ250 close behind. I had a 96 YZ and a 97 Kx.

If I were going early 1990's, I would go with '92 RM 250 followed closely by the '92 YZ. Both of those were the last year of their respective design and pretty well sorted.

If I were going late 1990's, I would go '97-'98 KX 250. Those bikes were really good.

The problem to this question is in my opinion, Honda has in certain years not been the best but Honda has never in any years been the worst. If the question was what’s the best 250 2 stroke ever made, you can’t beat a Honda as an all around awesome bike even if a different brand got the upper hand on a few years.

96 Honda CR250 or a 97-98 KX250. Both 2 different styles of power. The Honda was king in mid to top and over rev and the KX was king in low to mid. They had a lot of good bikes in the 90's and I'm sure you will get a lot of different opinions. Yamaha had some good early 90's bikes also

After 91 we only got the WXC/WXE models here in the states until I think 99 when the CRs returned.
