6D Helmet Fit Comparison

I'm planning on getting the FXR 6D helmet, but I have no way to try any 6D on. Does anyone know if it fits like these helmets I've had that fit me well- fly f2 mips, astars sm8, bell moto 9. I had a leatt helmet but it didn't fit well so I sent it back.
I just got my a stars sm8 last April or so, and I crashed in it the last time I rode... Wish astars would have some kind of inspection program, I loved the helmet but they lost a customer over that.

Some helmets are the correct size but simply "fit" differently. For instance, I've been wearing Arais for 20 years and I'm used to their shape. I've tried on several sizes of other brands, but even the sizes which are technically correct for me don't feel as good on my head. I can't comment on the 6d, but if I were you I'd find one to try on first, no matter what.

Yeah I'm not asking so much for size, but fit. The Leatt had weird pressure points for me, and I tried on a fox a few years ago with the same kind of pressure points.

Large in Bell Moto 9, Large in 6D for me. The fit is slightly different, seems kind of like the Bell is rounder shaped and the 6D slightly more oblong if that makes sense, but it's a very slight different.

I usually do as well, have worn Bell for years. 6d fits me well without any sloppiness so it may still work

Ok cool, I’m in college and don’t have my truck with me, there’s a dealer about 11 miles away that came up on 6D’s website, they didn’t answer the phone. If I find out they have it i guess I’ll cycle over lol

Recently switched my kid from a Bell Moto 9 carbon flexx to a 6D ATR 2, both in medium. He was having issues with the Bell causing his head to hurt, mainly on the sides just behind the temple. After a 20 minute moto, he would pull in in tears because it was hurting so bad. Been in the 6D since Loretta's and he loves it and no issues with his head hurting since switching.

Take it for what it's worth. Both great helmets, everyone's head is shaped differently.

Is the 6D headset so effective? I crashed last season face first... result: concussion (probably normal) but worse...a small impregnation to the head that took a long time to regain its normal appearance. Today, I ride a Troy Lee Designs...

No helmet is perfect. No one can know what would happen in that exact crash with any other helmet. They have some solid testing and r and d, so I trust them in that it is probably my best bet in most crashes.

I’ll probably just end up ordering one. I called a shop near me they have atr1 but I heard they fit differently and I don’t want to get him to order a 2 just so I can try it on

My 6D fits like an Arai. I cant wear a Fox and the Bell is just so so. Shoei will fit, by still not be great. Don’t buy until you can try one on. Oh, and by fit, I mean feel good, they all technically fit, but had pressure points. Love my 6D.

I love the Bell Moto9 fit. I wear a medium in those and a medium in Fly F2. I ordered both a 6D atr-2 and the new Fly Formula. I returned the fly right away, it was just too tight. The 6D I called and ordered different check pads and different insert because it was a bit “loose.” Even after that I didn’t like the fit so I bought yet another Moto 9.

So I would say - try one on!
