I'm impressed with both Joey and Anton...and I'm sure that Anton and Swap will feel the political BS from Kawi and probably the Tomac's for this interview...Great job to everyone it was a great listen!

Maybe if he really felt like this, “man kawasaki hooked me up this year, gave me a shot, thank you. I’m looking forward to what’s next, I have no idea what is next but whatever it is, I’m gonna beat it like I stole it!”

Maybe if he really felt like that and said that, it woulda been a better statement about him!
Nah...that's what robots say...good on him for speaking his mind and making people think....what I'm seeing is Kawi/Eli fans are not happy with what Joey has to say because they can't get past their fanboyism shit...The rest of the world sees a rider speaking his mind with no filters and a journalist with the balls to ask the questions and not fear the consequences...That is why I loved it!

Yeah it’s great but I don’t think it’s going to get him anywhere in terms of landing a ride or a fill in.
I’m all for riders not being robots, there are examples of riders that can do this without whining about previous team and teammate though.

Where to start... complaining and negativity is the general theme of this podcast:
1. I don’t think this makes a good case for him getting signed to a team. (Bashing Ex team and team mates) - He certainly won’t get a fill in at Kawi in the future.
2. Eli is socially awkward- no need to publicly disparage him on a pod cast. This doesn’t really help anyone so why do it? (Saying he didn’t congratulate you on having a baby?)
3. Ok Eli didn’t thank you for pulling over at MEC or pay you the difference. We get that this is a crap situation but again what’s the point of bringing it up? I wonder why the Tomac’s made a deal and then went back on it?
(Can we find out if Musquin got paid when he pulled over for Dungey?- Probably)
4. Just so everyone knows- JS and AC used to hate each other, then they got a long sort of but lately they haven’t spoken much.

So he needs to keep quit for the lord Eli and team? If he feels this is the way it is, he got all the reasons and rights to tell the world.

I dont blame him for doing it. I just like it when someone speek his feelings.
I agree it’s good for us and I agree with what he is saying. I’d be pisst off as well (especially Tomac not paying the difference in prize money at MEC- A confidential agreement was needed) with everything that’s happened however my point is it’s not good for Joey- A rider trying to land a ride for next season. If I’m a team manager and there is another 5-15th guy available I’ll pick them over Joey.
If AC gets injured in the off season and Joey has left on good terms and remained professional, I would of called him... Not now.
Anyways hopefully he can get a good ride and put up some decent results so we can forget about this.

Probably will forget about him in ten minutes when he's gone anyway.

Well said. We have a bunch of Dylan’s(see recurring pulpmx Eli Superfan caller) stretching themselves thin saying: Eli didn’t ask for it/Joey brought a cold shoulder on himself/Eli would have won anyway/joey is Italian mafia out here “rigging races”.

Joey pulled a selfless move which helped someone even if it hurt himself. Day 1 elementary school “do the right thing” stuff. Eli is not a bad guy. Just poor form. Every idiot on here has things/situations we would do different in life and no one is perfect. Also, Eli has is own side of the story and hasn’t had/might not want the chance to say it. But fact remains Joey is still unpaid and unlikely Joey somehow forgot Eli thanked him.

Joey made one guys LIFE(yes he didn’t pull over for Jesse but) and padded his teammates pocket.

Wins a million and doesn't even buy homeboy a shark bowl from Chili's. That's cold.

Both side are right and wrong imo but to bad Eli. A thank u would have been the minimum.

I do not like the way JS17 talks about that in the media, it's a bit gossip girl. He should have said what he said to Eli first.

Don't pull over, Eli did not ask him anything.

Cold would have been giving him $8. Looks like homegirl got her wish.

Yesterday at 1:31pm · Sacramento ·

I never use facebook to rant, but this circumstance was something I needed to vent about.

I have worked Hangtown for the past 3 years and this year was no different. I worked from 7:30 am until 5 pm and then went straight to work my serving job at 6. We got extremely busy because every group/ party came in at the exact same time and we only have a small kitchen with only 4 cooks in it. I waited on a group of 20 guests that came from Hangtown. It ended up being Joey Savatgy (the guy who won Hangtown that day) and his friends and family including Mitch Payton. This table was the worst table I have waited on in 2 and a half years in the restaurant business. They were screaming drink orders at me every time I walked by, then doing the same to girls that weren't their servers, because of that, their drinks got made twice and they were pissed when more than one of the same thing came out. They asked about their food 10 minutes after it was rang in. They talked to me like I didn't know what I was doing. They began wrapping each other in paper towels like mummies and then when they ran out they yelled at me for more paper towels. Their food came out in 30 minutes, a reasonable time for a huge party when the restaurant is swamped. While I was talking to a few members of their party I was hit in the eye with a paper towel wad from someone who threw it at me from this party. I turned around and told them that I would be forcing them to leave. I went and got my manager and she closed them out and kicked them out. Their tab was 592$ and they left me 600$, so I ended up having to pay 8% of their tab in taxes even though they didn't tip me. This was the only table I had taken all night because of how needy they were. I offered my best service to them and they were disrespectful. Although one guy that left the party found me and said "Im sorry about my friends." That wasn't enough to make me feel better about how horrible these guys had been. Hopefully these guys don't treat every server this horrible when they go out after every race this season.. I feel bad for the next girl who has to deal with them. Never been so disrespected in my life. Thank Savatgy, hope your karma comes back and bites you sometime in the season.

You don’t know for a fact that Tomac wasn’t going to run him down and punt him! But you guys keep talking like you know it as a fact!

It has happened before....

Exactly. Monster probably wants someone to win the million. Good press and they pay the insurance policy either way.

I thought I remember hearing there was no insurance policy. Couple million to them isn't that much money.

Tomac is not only supposed to thank him for an embarrassment, but has pay him as well? Rigging a race in an unsportsmanlike way is not a gift or a favor, it’s embarrassing. He forced Eli’s inclusion into something Tomac never wanted or condoned. Eli already looks weak in the rigging department from the bunching race, he didn’t need more controversy. Tomac shows the honor of a true sportsman by not thanking or paying Joey. Should have congratulated him on that baby, though.

For what it’s worth I thought it was a good move at the time. Lesson learned I guess?

He was stronger than I expected this year. Few things go differently and he would of been on the box easily multiple times. Kudos

Dude you really need to stop posting. You’re making yourself and your kid out as complete fools. How many other parents of top riders are on here making posts like you are? None. Except you.

Let your son and his agent handle this privately, you’re not doing any favors posting on here. Best of luck to Joey in 2020. Hope he gets a ride...

I thought it was a great interview and now see a different side of him. Loved the non-filtered interview. Will now be pulling for him to line up a good ride and kick some ass next year. I think a bunch of 3 fans are butthurt.
