Parking, mpg, ride quality, etc etc.

Yes it is an SUV with a bed. Thats exactly what makes it ideal to live with. You'd have to drive it to appreciate it.

But also considering you thought buying that modified roached 97 7.3 was a good idea you might not appreciate what makes this ridgeline nice to drive.

Its not bad ass, its not massive, it doesnt have a huge front grill and beefy tires.

But it fits inside a parking spot, doesnt need a 4 point turn to get lined up, gets the same mileage as your ecodiesel without the diesel fuel prices, without the diesel maintence, without all the diesel emmissions bs, and without the complex diesel repair bills. Its a honda.

You probably use your truck to tow and haul real weight regularly. If you do, then you wouldn't be able to use the ridgline. But for me, most ill put back there is a weekend of gear, clothes, food, 2 bikes and 2 or 3 people. Itll handle that easy.

For working and using it everyday your eco diesel is a good choice if you are actually hauling real weight like 4k+ regularly.
How was the powerstroke “roached”

just ordered a new ute, (what we call a truck here) , pick it up next week,

Mazda BT50, 3.2 5 cylinder deisel, double cab, can still put 2 bikes on the back pretty easy with a ramp/tail gate extender stopping anything falling off,

https://www.mazda.co.nz/model/new-bt-50/double-cab/2wd-limited

Dumb ass regulations stopping that from being here

Dear Baby Jesus, I can't decide between the F-150 and the Honda Ridgeline. They both had their attributes for sure, but being 6'2 175, not sure I can take the smaller cabin everyday, especially since I'm moving to the beach soon and my commute will grow from less than a mile to 30.

All things being equal, it's cabin size vs. fuel mileage (which I really don't care about) and ride quality. That Ridgeline was really nice. No heavy towing, only bikes.

I personally dont find it small inside. I'm 6ft 200. The floors flat, good leg room. The seat even in my base model adjusts up and down. Steering wheel adjusts in and out as well as up and down.

The throttle tune is very mellow. Stupid drive by wire stuff. But if you stand on it the little truck actually moves pretty good!

Nice truck! What is the size of your wheels? They look big. How's the ride quality? I'm planning to replace my moto metal with fuel rims and I'm trying to decide whether to go with the 22's or 20's.

Well I ended up with this. 2016 1500 z71 midnight edition with the 5.3 v8. I couldn't afford any of the late model f150's and the ones in my price range had nearly 100k miles on them. This truck has 53k. Has the all Star and LT plus packages which comes with leather heated seats, 8" touch screen with nav, power sliding rear glass etc. I like it, happy with my purchase.

Those are the stock size 265/65/18 and brand new. I'd like to do a 265/70 which would be an inch taller. I hate to pop off brand new tires lol. I may drive on them a year then replace them. My first priorities is an exhaust and tune.

I thought those came with 20in rims, maybe I’m wrong, but some fuel rims and some toyo open country’s would look bad ass on a 2in lift
Or even a off road tire, I think some shops will take the ones you have and get you a. Pair of open country’s for 300 more, that’s the way it works in my part of the woods

I've got the window sticker it says midnight edition with 18's. Idk that much about the Chevrolet's so I'm not sure. I think I'd prefer the 18's though, a little more sidewall for some ride comfort.

Tires are a lot cheaper for 18's too, Nice truck. I wouldn't get carried away with lifts, big tires etc unless you want to throw your good MPG's out the window.

I'm not doing any lift, it has a leveling kit now. If I did tires I would only go 1" taller.

Never could get past the square wheel openings on the ‘14-‘18. My vote goes to the ‘67-‘72 followed by the new model.

I’ll agree on the square wheel wells, I think the new design is dumb, I looks better on a gmc but I just don’t like it

Buying a truck and joined a forum is like the worst thing to do for your wallet Smile

Seems like all direct inj motors suffer from re-gen oil vapors, I thought it was just the fords but I'm learning the GM's are no different. Guys installing catch cans to keep the sludge, vapors and moisture from re-entering the intake. Guess I got some $$ to spend damnit

Well, I pulled the trigger on this. First non-Ford I've ever owned. It's got every option but the moon roof and retractable running boards. It's got the 5.7 and 3.92's. I can't believe how nice the interior is. Sticker was 52, got it for 48 out the door. That stung, a lot. lol

Beautiful truck.
I bought a new Chevy a year ago with major rebates but I’m not real happy with the truck. It’s a 2018 and compares pretty evenly with my 2013 Ram Laramie. I wanted a new Ram but they only had $1,000 worth of incentives compared to $13K on the Chevy. My next truck will most likely be a Ram. The ride quality and the engine on my 2013 was very impressive. I’m not impressed by one thing on my Chevy except the looks

I bought my 2019 a couple months ago- sticker was $54k, paid $39k.

2019. Just did a trip to San Diego and back and jesus, it is the nicest truck I've ever driven. It blows the new Ford's away in every aspect.

You got a smoking deal on yours. Dealers around here aren't willing to deal much on anything but chevy's.

Thats a really good avg. Admittedly, I have been having fun playing around with the 400hp, so mine hasn't settled down yet. Laughing

The 3.5 Ecoboost does about as well as that. This is my Raptor, which gets substantially worse fuel economy than a regular F150 because of the gearing, tires and frontal area.

Some great looking vehicles in here. Congrats on the new rides. This is my all time favorite vehicle. It drives itself and I never enjoyed roadtrips like I do now. It tows effortlessly and gets great mileage. I go through some vehicles but going to keep this for awhile. My wife is looking to maybe get another Tahoe or suburban soon. We have been picking up the food donations for care and rehabilitation of wildlife centers every single week for 30 plus years. We haul a lot of heavy produce.

Just turned 6000 miles on the 19 Silverado/6.2, lifetime average 20.3mpg. Very happy with the truck other than the suspension performance is nothing to write home about.
