Piercings in Moto

Edited Date/Time 7/31/2019 1:56pm
Hey everyone, newbie here.
I'm an avid motocross racer, and last week I got my nose pierced (right nostril). I'm wondering if there are any other riders out there with a nose piercing who can tell me how long I need to wait before riding again (or any other tips). The piercer thinks wait at least a month, but I just wanted to ask around on here as well to see if there is someone who can tell me their experience and give some advice. I'm getting a ring in a few weeks time, but at the moment it's just a small stud.
Cheers.

There's a local rider from the UK who mainly rides green lane who could probably give you some pointers

I had my eyebrow done for a short period of time. It was a faze and i grew out of it immediately after i ripped it completely out taking my helmet off.

Keep it clean and as long as your goggles don't sit on it i'd say you're pretty sweet after a week

Nice! My mom wouldn't bring me to the mall to get mine done.

A week or 2 if your keeping it really clean and there is no irritation or infections. When I had my snake bites done I would cost them in Neosporin before each moto then clean my face off really good and recoat them for the next moto. Did this for a month and then wasxgood after that.

That must've been painful! It shouldn't be a problem with a nose piercing (I hope!)
Thanks for the advice Smile

It's so far so good at the moment, seems to be healing well. Cheers for your comment!

Forgive me but I need to ask, why the hell would anyone want to pierce their nostril? I understand each to their own and mean no disrespect to you...just asking.

I just think it looks good on me, same reason people pierce their ears, or wear nice clothes.

Damn!!! I made the mistake of lookup up "Prince Albert". Still cringing. Also, Note to self. Respond exactly like Mr Kiwi when addressing online criticism.

Ears are completely covered by the helmet, nose piercings aren't, so they are less obstructive.

I would say it is definitely not cool, or normal down here.

To be honest I don't really give two fucks about whether it's normal, cool or not cool.
