Is there a repair manual for the 2019 250 SX-F? or a scan tool? We can get these things for cars, why so difficult for dirt bikes?

Its not difficult. Service manuals are available at almsot every dirtbike retailer. Scanners... dunno about KTM. kawi and yamaha have ones you can buy/have a free app

You will need to purchase the CD from the dealer for your bike. Understand that the CD also has many other bikes on it too and thus can be confusing and hard to use. No printed service manuals are available for your bike.

I do see repair manuals and Scan/diagnostic tools but they are all for everything but KTM 2019 250 sx-f

There is just no substitute for a service manual in my book.
Again.....Check with your dealer.

that is a user manual which we have the one that came with the bike. I am looking for a repair manual or a shop manual. I think I found one at www.ktm-parts.com they also had a scan tool listed for $2151.77 but aside from the pricey tag it had no description with it to ensure I could use it on the 2019 250 sx-f. I used the "chat" feature to inquire and they said that it was not for sale for general public.

Like paw paw said, you can purchase the CD from any dealer. And actually, the newer CDs are much easier to navigate and read and are much more clear than they use to be. I use them pretty much every day.

As far as the KTM scanners go, there’s not one on the market that will really communicate with the bikes. KTM supplies us dealers with their own scanners and that’s about all. Snap on has a new scanner than communicates with most motorcycles, but not KTM...yet.

I know a scanner would be sooo helpful! I have a matco MaxMe scanner but that only has subscriptions for cars and trucks. If KTM becomes available through a scan tool I would DEF jump on that.

I did purchase the CD also got one for the 2018 KTM 150sx too.

This 250 is just starting to annoy me. Sent it to KTM, came back and it doesn't want to idle tough to start and when it is running it sounds super shitty. long story short KTM replaced whole top end due to an error caused by tech that initially worked on it. Top end in new, new valves,new cam new bridge new case chain tensioner ect.... Other than initial breaking have not used this bike. My son been using the 150sx. Went to use it this past weekend and it sounded so bad we didn't even want to try.
