I can’t believe that was live yet we can’t get all of our motos live on TV. That show was a dud.

Well we were supposed to see someone jump a record distance on a dirtbike but that didn't pan out. Im sure they had to find a bunch of worthless stuff to fill the broadcast with after that fell through.

Yeah it was a bummer to watch but hell I felt bad for Vicki to even be put in that situation. She probably felt like the side act all along then Axell going down brought her to headliner status. Give the girl props for hitting it head on...pun intended. She is a bad ass though !

I was surprised Robbie Maddison was right there and didn’t fill in for Axel. It would have been glorious! Needless to say I watched the show with my 11 year old daughter and she loved the entire presentation. This is a girl who won’t sit through Supercross, goes to show we watch for stories not the action, SX and MX need more of this.

Do you ride? I don't think you know what it entails to jump a motorcycle that far. You don't just come off the couch, put your gear on and attempt to go 400ft.

There's a lot more to it than just having a big set of balls and twisting the throttle.

Cooksey you ride bro?? Lol

I don’t think Chris really expected Maddo to jump, just would have been cool to see the OG long jumper fill in so we could still get the show.
And I thought the wall thing ended up looking pretty lame on tv (sure it’s harder than it looked), but if it gets the general public/women audience attention then I’m all for it.

May have been lame, I didn't see it, but it also may have launched the start of the first female motorcycle daredevil. Don't see how that can be a bad thing for Vicki.

But theres others before her. You would know that if you watched Wink

All smartass aside, just goes to show how badass evel really was. He didn’t have all this science and math and safety shit they use these days. He had a bottle of wild turkey and the biggest set of balls a man has ever had.

The target audience for this type of thing doesn’t have cable TV.

Why did you make an account to never have any relevant input? The world may never know.

I certainly agree on Evel, bad MF'r!

I know there have been other females that have done jumps, I guess I meant with her SX/jumping skills she could be the first "real deal" female daredevil. Pastrana'esk if you will...

Evel was a bad ass, but its all relative. Evel's longest attempted distance was 141 feet which was Cesars Palace.

Axell was going for 400.

I was personally standing by the ramp for many days during speed tests. There was a lot of work by a lot of people to get that Kawi 450 to 111mph, the required speed needed. When he came past that fast, it was gut wrenching knowing he was going to hit the ramp going that fast.

I would much rather attempt 141 feet on anything, even an ATC rather than hit the ramp at 111.

I think it had more to do with Maddo being a Red Bull athlete and all the Monster signage up for Axel than anything else.

That being said, that's still not something you get off the couch and try.

Dang. I know I wouldn't attempt either of these stunts! Even with all of the science, safety and preparation. Terrifying. Cool to hear Axel's take on his crash and actually see it.

Probably Balsa wood too because a wood like pine it would have knocked her off the bike instantly. If it was Balsa you could ride a bicycle through it. But props to Vicki for doing it.
