I have a lot of photos like these. Smile
What's with the sneakers? They don't wear riding boots on the minis? I realize it would probably make it more difficult to shift but... Are there not many foot/ankle injuries in the mini races?

Some do wear boots, some don't. I saw at least one lost shoe being tossed off the track after a race.

You're joking right? The promoters aren't letting anyone with JLaw's entertainment ability go anywhere.

I find it funny how the whole crowd was all into it and the only people who get all pissed about it is the MX media who is always looking for a new reason to bitch about anything JLaw.

Mike Tyson could draw a crowd too. Dumb as a stump and always in trouble but very good at his sport.

FIM Supercross seems to be just fine without him and the promoters seem to be comfortable with that based on their past actions towards Jason Lawrence.

BTW I'm not a "J-Law" hater.....I stated how I see things turning out for him. Nothing he has done has "pissed me off." I think the kid is smart as hell and even more talented, but that doesn't change his knack for making poor decisions. He is throwing away a great opportunity and maybe he is okay with that.

Because the majority of a crowd at these events is a bunch of drunken idiots that follow the "I'm only watching to see the crashes" philosophy. Anyone who is a true fan of racing wants to see racing, not some dumbshit just riding around trying to take out as many people as he can.

You can't use the "true fan of racing" argument in this case,
cause it's frickin MINIBIKES!!!

And you can't use the "drunken idiots" argument
cause it's in fricken LAS VEGAS!!!

Now, lighten up, go get yourself a beer,
and just let yourself be entertained for christ sakes.

This is a professionally run event. This isn't your typical backyard drunken mini bike race. There is a big difference here. And the fact that it's in Vegas further reinforces my "drunken idiots" point. They are there for crashing and entertainment, not for racing. Nothing Lawrence does will ever entertain me.

Actually I take that back, I always get a laugh out of it when he gets suspended.

Do you get a laugh outta him beating Stewart straight up after posting the fastest time in practice on the roughest track on the circuit??

If JLaw doesn't entertain you, then you're simply not a fan of watching raw talent on a dirt bike.

Are you serious? These are grown adults on "mini-bikes" last time I checked.
