Part of the issue, at least in the past, lies with the developers. They have gone on record by saying that they didn't think replica tracks would be that enjoyable and that they need to be more "fun" and a bit over the top. Now this was said a few years back so dear God let's hope those who have that opinion have moved on from the company.

Fact is, when the team does replicas, RC Goat Farm and JS7 Compound, the game is light years better than their created tracks.

It's just a fact at this point.

Yknow if replicas can't happen I would really like an honest answer as to why from either the developers or heck, even DC. You'll never hear it from Rainbow though because whether it's in their plans or not they are always going to act like it's possible and never completely shut it down. That would hurt their sales.

But silence and doing nothing for years tells the story. We were also told an official licensed SX game was impossible. So there you go.

For the record, I hope they prove me wrong. If they don't jump on it I bet Milestone does within 3 years.

We'll see.
I've always enjoyed how the guys at MX vs ATV said they don't see replicas being a big seller with everyone, yet they've recreated the Stewart compound from Alive to put it in MX vs ATV Supercross and Encore because of high demand. Talk about talking out both sides of your mouth.

i don't know, after playing all the MXGP games i'm not sure replica tracks are really that great. maybe those games are just THAT far off physics wise, but give me any of the tracks from the Unleashed games over those replicas. same with the SX track replicas, just don't do much for me.

They may be working on replicas at the moment or they may have no intention of it at all. That’s just how they are when it comes to any dlc. I myself don’t get why it’s top secret and I think straightforward answers would be beneficial to us and them.

Replicas would sell not only that dlc but the actual game. Guys would buy it just for those tracks. If for whatever reason they can’t do them it would be nice to not have little hints that they are coming. Misleading isn’t gonna make anyone happy. If replicas don’t come it would be great if they took ideas from real tracks and made tracks that have a realistic feel to them.

I don’t know how it works legally but I’m pretty sure nobody has a patent on an off camber corner, or certain type of dirt or any rhythm of jumps, etc. Ideas or certain sections of tracks surely could be recreated into a track that at least feels authentic.

If they did places like Cedar Mills, Summerhaven, Redwood Valley, Philly SX from the Unleashed days... I wouldn't be able to throw money at them quick enough.

I felt this right here is pretty important for people to be aware of. Am I the only one that notices?

Another announcement about an announcement coming "early" next week. It's Friday. Why not just say what the fuck it is? Especially since they said we were to get this patch at the end of April, and everyone's tired of waiting. They need to fire whoever does their marketing.

Pff that drone flew right through that tree. Totally unrealistic. All Out, youre dead to me.

I scratch my head a little bit at some of the things they choose to spend their time working on. Drone footage and different time of day settings are cool and all, but should that really be their priority when their fanbase is screaming for new and better tracks?

I agree they do spend their time working on things nobody really asked for. They could just work on dlc that we all want. They make more money from dlc but not really from in game improvements. I give them credit though for working on things to improve the game and make it better for everyone. They get a lot of complaints from players but I think it shows they are trying to give us the best game they can. From release day till now it’s not even close to the same game.

Windham's video is up, updated physics look exactly what I have been trying to preach with my level 1 tune.

Also, that Glen Helen esque flag Evil

i agree man. remember how they presented this new "tuning" upgrade to us? i mean they made it sound like it was going to be completely new. I thought i was going to see different sliding bars and each of them making the bike act different. it looks like the tuning is EXACTLY the same with the addition of chassis. i dont want to jump to conclusions without playing it but they basically added a feature that allows you to mess with gravity. a bunch of us have pretty much already experienced this if you had the Honda exhaust tune a while back. im sure this time it wont affect overall top speed of the bike (idk) but in terms of the bike dropping out of the air more or less, it was cool to be able to take away some gravity because the game does feel a bit floaty. but unless theres something big that Windham the youtuber missed, this is hardly a "new tuning system". the drone cam i honestly couldnt care less about. youre right, they made it so they can take peoples BANGERS and ad them to their youtube and IG. it could be cool i guess but they know what we want. we want more moto tracks. speaking of, am i the only one that is underwhelmed with the new motocross track? maybe it will be more fun when played.

I was really hoping for some real changes to ground physics and tuning. I know Sweetd does all these level tunes but idk about doing all that. when i have maxed out everything and i go from far left to far right on the sliders with sprocket and engine, i should feel way more of a difference, and what im doing should actually make sense. again, maybe Windhams review isnt spot on with the new tuning and he missed a bunch of details. it wasnt the most thorough.

also, bike sounds....the bike sounds need to be fixed. and yea, this social media guy that leads us on for months with "update coming next week" needs to find a different approach.

Question. Is this the "time to change the game" and "something big is coming next week" they've been hyping?

Now, I do appreciate the chassis change to make it a bit more realistic. That's good. But the engine is fine for the most part. They need content if the plan is to not release a new game and just keep adding to this one.

We know they're not doing National's replicas... I stopped beliving a long time ago... but would any of you like to see Endurocross return? The Untamed EX stuff was great. I wish they would bring that to the new engine. It's a different kind of racing and very enjoyable. Would also add some variety.

I was expecting a little more change to the tuning also. From what they said I was thinking the entire screen for tuning was going to look completely different. It should still be an improvement but I thought we’d get more tuning options to the already adjustable items. It doesn’t appear to be a totally new tuning system at all. It seems to be just a new chassis tuning.

I totally agree about a new approach to info that’s released to us. Nobody likes this secretive approach on dlc and updates. I don’t understand why hints are given that really mislead us. We should have Loretta’s and the pro nationals by now from hints that have been given. If we ever do get those I think we’d all be shocked. If it’s hinted that something amazing is being worked on and it turns out to be less exciting than what we had in mind it’s just disappointing.

I don’t know how the bike sounds haven’t been fixed at this point either. I’m sure the drone cam will give some players hours of enjoyment, but personally I’ll probably screw around with it for 15 minutes or so. It’s still a good thing to add to the game but if I was going to prioritize what to work on I’d have bike sounds, ai competitiveness and consistency, frame rates, and any other things to improve the game it self being worked on first.

yes this is “the big update”. i’m sure it was a lot of work and big to them. no doubt. i know that drone cam was a lot of work. but yeah, hardly what it was meant to be.

i know i harp on them for their “announcements” and as much as i should know better, i do remember them saying they had a big drop coming this summer and it was said right before the hometown nationals dlc. hometown nationals wasn’t released yet but it was shown to us via video, people got all mad because it wasn’t replica nationals and that’s when they said don’t worry we have somethig big coming this summer.

of course that could have been this “major update” we’re about to get

"Major DLC to release this summer" that is supposed to [blow the doors off the moto community] or something like that

I literally yawned reading that. We've heard that before from these guys over the years. Everyone gets hyped, and then they reveal what they think is going to be amazing, and everyone's like... "that it?"

We’re getting 2018 bikes in spring 2020, stamp it

If they would just give a little more info would be nice. When the hometown nationals dlc was gonna be coming out why not say a couple free ride areas with our own original national tracks. The Slash stuff same thing, they could of said it's gonna be our own original SX tracks with a theme. It's the vague info that let's our minds come up with the great things it may be. The dlc has been good but when we're thinking something bigger than it actually is its a let down. They don't seem to want to change their marketing approach but I don't see anybody saying that it's so exciting not knowing what's coming.
5/13/2019 10:18am Edited Date/Time 5/13/2019 12:09pm
The drone cam alone is a good enough reason for me to try and get into this game again. I freaking LOVED messing around with the birds eye cam back in the MCM 2 days, and no other game that i can think of has included it since. So ya...i'll probably spend a few hours (or days) screwing around with it.

The chassis update sounds good too, less floaty physics sound like it could fix a lot of the problems i have with this game.

So they silently release a 2.5 update before the actual 2.6 update they've been talking about the last couple months... Are they just trying to screw with us now? Ha-ha, jokes on us?

I'm optimistic towards the chassis tuning option. I hope that it makes the bike feel more grounded and less like a pogo stick when going through the rough sections of the tracks.

If you limit yourself to rank 1 and 2 parts with the chassis (or without), you will get a unique experience. Line choice and throttle control is the next key to not bouncing around everywhere. We now have a console arcade game where you actually have to stick a rut. Which sometimes mean slamming on the brakes into a turn. Game is a lot more coasting and braking, then hammering the throttle when opportune.

well the bike definitely feels a lot different. i play fpv and i can notice quite a change. the graphics of the game as soon as it loaded into flying ranch i noticed an improvement too. they improved the old motocross track on moto ranch too. definitely need a more realistic approach to turning now which is good. My only complaint so far is the horrid sound the bike makes when touching the ground while riding. You can hear it very loud over the engine, it sounds like something dragging on concrete. they seemed to have really tinkered with the engine too. not the sounds per say but the gearing and acceleration.

Cool improvements, I wish the tracks weren’t so watered down. It’s like they’re all vet tracks. The jumps need to be twice as big and steep. I want 300 foot triples that shoot you 100 feet in the air. It’s a video game not real life

i've been playing All-Out again pretty much every day and still love the game. haven't played with the newest patch, sounds like i need to.

i'm so glad these guys are actually working on the game this long after release. i can appreciate a developer like Nordic/Rainbow much more than a developer that pumps out shit game after shit game every 4 months.
