2019 KTM 450 Issues

Has anyone else had problems with this bike dying for no reason? I noticed it happened to bereman on the face of a jump and ended up wrecking him pretty bad. This has happened to a few of my friends as well. For example one of them had just bought the bike and on the first hour of the bike he hit a jump bike shut off and he broke his femur and back.

Is there any actions against KTM for this? Recall maybe?

beremen ran out of fuel. KTM's don't usually just die like that. Their frames just snap in half

1 hour huh? Id be talking to my dealer to make sure they unlocked the ECU.

Yes, there is a one hour demo mode.

If the bike cutout within an hour, it's a problem with the dealership unlocking the computer

When the hour is up, the bike won't die if its running. It just won't restart when you shut it off.

From what I’ve been hearing, there are fuel pump issues... my roommates 19 450 just had his fuel pump go @ 7 hours. Pops, bogs, and cuts out. It will not staying running. We swapped tanks with my 19 350 and the problem went away. Worst part is fuel pumps are currently backordered.

You can get fuel pumps from eBay if you just want to ride. Bought two of them to my 2013-2015 ktm when I had those.

Fuel hoses are probably still getting kinked on install. Pull the pump and look for a kink in the fuel line. If so replace with a good quality submersible fuel line and new ear clamps. You can use nipping pliers to nip them up instead of the expensive clamp tool.
