Is it just me or did he have a growth spurt year where he grew a foot and added 40 pounds? Seems he was a little runt and all of a sudden was huge. Also, he isn’t the first dominant am to go winless in the pro ranks. Not so sure that elevating himself to the ranks of 450 ass whippings is the answer. Just sayin

Staying another year in 250s is risky business- basically, he MUST win out to keep his 'stock' at where it is now. Anything short of winning, is damaging. Has AC got the mental robustness to deal with that pressure?? As much as you might not like to hear it, last Saturday night suggests he hasn't.

So what if he rides the 250 next year and does not win or gets hurt ? Every riders dream is to get a factory 450 ride. How is those regional championships working out for Mookie, Bogle, Weimer, and the who else can we name ? Riders strive for the top level of the sport or most do in my opinion. Not to argue with you but this is a no brainer and he should jump at any 450 ride he can get.

When they were on the hook contractually for it yea. Tickle won a 250 regional title and pointed out of the class, forcing him up 1 year into a 2 year contract. That's the only time Mitch has fielded a 450 rider.

He has signed a contract to race 450s, but from what I heard today Kawi is giving him the option to stay down or move up.

I'd stay 250 for a year. The 450 class is stacked and he has plenty of time left. I feel bad for him but I think his time will come.

Answered it above. Even if he had another 3 very strong series but didn't get it done, that's still good prep for him, more bonuses even if only individual races etc....

This is literally his first year of being the guy since those first 5 races of his SX career. And it's not like putting it together for the first time is going to be easier in the big bike class – Has that ever happened?

He won't struggle for a ride initially. But move up at your best, the best base, so it's not a few years before you're looking for a ride because you jumped early. Shit, if he was a Star guy, there's every chance he'd have been dropped a couple years after he moved up from amateurs. Ask Will Hahn, and then ask him how it worked in 450s.

I think he's moving up regardless, all I'm saying is there are a bunch of guys who say they moved up too early and it looks like Adam can potentially find himself in the same place. It might work out, but there are guys that beat him regularly in that class already, + superstars and vets. It's not easy, he's got time. Use it.

To put it into perspective RC retired at like 26 or 27. I don't think many of these guys will be racing at 29 or 30, and if they are they probably won't be competing for titles. It is a young mans sport and by 25 most of these guys have had at least one pretty good injury (i.e. Tomac, Anderson, Roczen, Dungey, Canard, Reed, Villopoto, Carmichael, Stewart, the list goes on). Withhout digging into it I'm sure Musquin and Webb have too.


Everyone assumes if he races 250s next year he will win. He should have won this year, shoot he should have won in 2014. Now is the time, he has no guarantees that he will get a ride/better contract in the future. If he ends up never winning a major title then so be it.

I think he should move up, he is big and heavy, he has to over ride a 250 to do the same sections that the other guys do and thats why he makes these mistakes.

. He is smooth and is very fluid on a 450, move up.
