Yesterday, local sender Gino Vogliardo sent the quad (triple, however you look at it) on the new Fox Raceway main layout. This thing is HUGE in person.

2 tabletops in a row = 2 jumps. "I doubled over the tabletops" =1 jump over 2 tabletops.
A double is two singles. "I had to single single the double" =2 jumps
"I cleared the double" =1 jump over 2 single jumps.
A triple is three. "I cleared the triple" =3 single jumps with 1 jump
"I cleared the single to table" = 2 jumps =double
By definition, Quad means 4. They dont call 3 wheelers Quads and vice versa.

When has anyone ever said "That is a long ass tabletop jumps"
Never.
If you took the 2nd and 3rd jump out a a true quad, you now just have a huge ass double or two singles.
It is no longer a quad.
1+1=2.
Deep breaths.
I can see why people are into seeing big jumps though.
If you did them all separate it would be single, single, tabletop.
" I tripled over the double tabletop"
^ ^ ^ ^ is a quad.
For example, This is a Triple, Quad.
Looking at the diagram i drew, what would you call it when a guy jumps from the first takeoff and lands on top of the table? (What i'm calling triple in the diagram). I'd say most people would call it "tripling on to the table".
Look at the jump Scummy and Raha did in Simi Valley. That kid on the Suzuki wasn't even top beginner speed and went out there to huck it. It's stupid.
Pit Row
Tabletop jump(S), refers to 2 jumps.
Because the only time you'd want to land on the top is when jumping the scenario in your diagram and coming up short.
A tabletop is not two jumps unless you cut out the middle.
Then it becomes a double.
Therefore a tabletop, by definition, is one jump. If you delete the middle section, it is now two single jumps, or one double.
But in this day an age of everyone wanting a participation trophy, a guy riding over two single jumps can tell everyone
"I jumped the double"
But really he went single, single.
Another scenario would be single, tabletop, single.
If you clear it all, you could claim "I tripled over the tabletop" Because if you did each obstacle singularly, there are 3 obstacles. Not 4.
Simple math.
And FYI, Tracy Monterone did the train track jump 10 years before anyone else. And it was over a moving train too.

This dude has endless run up to clear that....nothing special.
