Why don’t we have tracks like this now. They should do a few replicas every year. Only 1 or 2 125’s even jumped the 85 foot quad and the whoops were HUGE! McGrath just blitzes right across the tops. All the landings to the jumps are peaked and there is no room for error.

Awesome track. They are built for speed nowadays. Not technical enough. No creativity. Bring back the tracks of the '90s and early '00s

Love the tracks from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Seems like the broadcast went backwards from these days.

The tracks definitely used to have more flavor. Maybe it was just the bikes? Maybe both?

It seems like they made the tracks more and more like the factory practice tracks for whatever reason. There used to be more weird rhythm section obsticles that would spice it up. Like a2 2001 for example. There was 3 step on step offs in a row and a big drop at the end of it that you had to downside. Along with another crazy rhythm section later on in the track.

On the flip side it is good to try and make the tracks more safe but it takes away when the rhythm sections and whoops are the exact same every weekend.

Throw a table top in the middle of the whoop section. Make a back to back to back dragons back whoop pad. For god's sake expiriment with the design.

Because the boss's think the circus will look more appealing to the general public if it looks faster.

Man K-Dub looked so smooth in that heat race, definitely was one of the smoothest riders of all time.

Dude there's like 8 feet between each one of those whoops! Woohoo

Pretty sure that's the most air I've seen someone catch during and SX race besides maybe stew when he launched the wall jump at Daytona.

When did they start implementing wall jumps as a typical track design though? Around the time RV was battling Canard on 250's... Right! Banish them at once!

Alright I'm done

Seems to me the tracks used to be more vertical. The jumps were stepper and would send you up where now they are more spaced out and they jump further.

You nailed it. Mix the damn tracks up...tabletop in the middle of the whoops sounds good. Slow some of the tracks down, break up the rhythms.

We see that same stuff every weekend changed up by corners.

They simply used more dirt back in those days...... and ya, the jumps would shoot you "up" much more than now days...... no wonder lap times are well under 50 seconds now days....

I was at that race. The riders heads were almost as high as the 2nd level seating area (club) when they hit that quad. It was gnar..

I was there 2.. and i remember thinking holyshit they can jump to the 2nd level lol.

I seriously think that, lack of track creativity is due to the lack of dirt.. and some higher up person wanting "standards" for each round without change to the bottom line.

Larocco was so damn good man. makes ya wonder what would have been had he been a holeshot artist instead of always coming from the back.

awesome track, MC made those whoops look like a child's obstacle

I was a huge Rock fan. I always was hoping they would go to 25 lap mains so I could see him battle for more wins.

That track is gnarly for sure!

Two-strokes also punished errors so much more. 125's were all peaky power anyway, so how they ride SX tracks compared to 250F's is literally incomparable. Mess up one little thing, guess what, you aren't clearing the next obstacle. Miss a shift, clutch it out wrong, wheel spin, mess up timing, whatever.

Saw this live at RBSR this year, mistakes were made, and had consequences... and that track was just a straight line!

250F's and 450F's let you get away with mistakes with barely any penalty.

Man, what a shame.
