2009 Outdooor champ might be out of reach but he should be in the top 5. Barcia's fast and 2010 could be his year.

He looks fast, and if he can keep up that aggression through the whole moto without fading he will do good. But I am predicting some serious yardsales with him this summer.

Lots of people can look super-fast in a clip video....but that was really impressive nonetheless.

If he can keep a pace like that for most of the race he will be doing well for sure.

He is fast no doubt, and has a lot of talent of course. That is what happens when you ride and train at MTF your whole life. You get extremely good, I would love to live down there in Cairo GA.

I know, I might have been a little too excited there. Just what I hear from team personnel and industry folks. I hope Dungey does it this time. And Pourcel will be consistent, that's how he clinched the world title a couple years ago.

1. Damn. Would be cool to feel how it is to be that fast.
2. If Kehoe and crew don't pick up this bastard and instead he ends up with Mitch I'm seriously doubting Team Hondas judgement.

Is he that fast or just aggessive? I dont know if he will be up there with Searle, Rattary Pourcel Dungey and Stroupe. top 10 maybe tho.

I wonder how he would do in Valkensward this weekend prob top 20 ... maybe

Shit,

I forgot - he's going to have to deal with Pourcel.....

Yeah - kid's good....but he's going to have go up against World Class talent like Pourcel, Rattray, Searle and Dungey.

Give him time...let's see how he stacks up against the Big Guns.

Justin is definitely going to be a contender....not right away as he will go through some of the same learning curve that they all do.
2010 and beyond he will be a force to reckon with.

I agree with the DrSweden;

If Honda lets this kid go they need a check up from the neck up.

He didn't get down there until he was 13 and had already won the 85cc LL title.

He's been with Honda for 5 years and I'm sure he's on a very well paid 2 year Honda Lites deal for '09 and '10.

My prediction for him is fast and inconsistent. Hopefully he can settle down but that's not his nature, he's going to want to win right from the start and as we all know sometimes you gotta go slow to go fast.

I've seen him race in person 4 or 5 times. I've never seen him complete a moto without taking out at least one person. I got a buddy that's 35 and races pro some still. He rode some SX and Nat's back in the early nineties. Barcia almost took him out the last time they came to Mill Creek..........in practice. And my buddy was actually giving him room to get by.

He's gonna pull that crap at the nat's and someone is going to put him in the infield. He's aggressive but way more than is called for.

The odds are in your favor if you don't bet on rookies to win titles their first full season (RC, JS did it...anyone else win the outdoor title their first full season?)

I think this is going to be a battle between Dungey and Pourcel in my opinion...They ain't gonna split wins all season, but the title will come down to them.

Stroupe will be fast but inconsistent, as will rookie Barcia. Searle and Rattray will be consistent and very seldom outside the top five...I just think Dungey and Pourcel will ALWAYS be top 5 and thus the title will come down to them.

I haven't talked to Justin in a few years, as he has not been racing around our district in quite some time. I have known him since he was on 50's, however.
From what I knew of him, he was always humble and put in hard work to get to where he is today. He was not brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth like some riders that have parents with plenty of cash to burn. He always put forth the best he had, and has fun whenever he is out there on his motorcycle no matter what the conditions are.

I am looking forward to May 23rd.
