I also think Stewart shouldn't race if he doesn't race the nationals. Plus it would make it easier for the French to win!!! lol

MX1 Seb pourcel
MX2 Musquin / Paulin / Frossard / Boog
MX3 Chris Pourcel on 450F!!!

That team could give the guys below a good fight for the win

Vpoto
Dungey
Alessi

think france, would better of with

Seb MX1
Chris MX2
Aubin MX3

Aubin did very well on the big bike last year

I think without stewart, the best team for the usa would be,

Villopoto MX1
Ferry MX3 (if he is top fit, he has a lot of experience in the mxon, he saved the usa's butt last year)
AMA lites motocross champion MX2

Americans are apt to be unduly interested in discovering what average opinion believes average opinion to be.

whoever is 1st and 2ND in points in the big bike class and the points leader in the Lites should get to race.

i'll be interested to see what france does with their team... i mean, obviously a lot of the season is still to go but currently with so many good MX2 riders in the GPs, and then CPourcel in the AMA.... gonna be a tough choice for them

as for team usa.... i'm sure it'll be the top 3 monster riders Wink

funny how everyone is bashing on stewart, he wants to ride the nationals, but his team isn't going to.
he also said on dmxs that if he doesnt do any of the nationals, he wont go ride the mxon even if he is chosen to.

In before the first idiot says Jason Lawrence.

Stewart should do a couple late races to get ready, then put Villopoto on the 250f and Alessi in the open class. It won't happen, but they would mop up.

I'm not bashing James, but if he wanted to ride the nationals, he could.

Sounds like JS might retire soon? Maybe 1 more SX season? Too many excuses for not riding.

What on his own?? He's really good but not that good...

It's always the same BS they claim they would love to do the outdoors for the fans but it's difficut to put together a "programme", the team can't do it and it's someone else's fault if they can't.... means "Unless someone throws a lot of cash at me I'm going home to play with my ten cars and my big boobs girlfriend" . I don't blame them just wished they'd cut the BS sometime. Not talking about Stewart specifically.

Team USA: Villopoto and Alessi (450F), Dungey (250F).

Team France : Pourcel and Pourcel (450F), and difficult choice for the 250F rider between Paulin, Musquin and Frossard at the moment.

Maybe we can even think about Chris Pourcel on his PC KX-F 250 in MX3 class ... Why not...

Hey bud, the only reason the U.S. didn't win all 3 individual titles AND the team title is because Stewart couldn't get his bike started. Everyone there saw Stewart pull away from SP. And yes Ferry had to save the day because of that, which I've said in past posts on the subject. But let's be real about the "only just won" thing, shall we?

I would force Stew with a broken arm. With that amount of talent, I'm sure he only needs a weekend at Glen Helen to find any lost speed. He SHOULD go for the sake of the sport (put him in MX3 if you think he's a snail). If he bails, let Ferry in. As posted erlier, he often delivers.
Stew or Ferry Open
Villopoto 450
Dungey 250

Or you could let team France win! Wink

Will be a blast nevertheless!

Rule 1 - I think you have to at least ask Ricky Carmichael if he will go. He's the GOAT and only two seasons into retirement. If he isn't interested, fine, but if he was at all kicking around the idea, you'd be a fool not to take him.

Failing that,

Stewart, Villopoto, and Dungey on the 250F. Alessi as first alternate for any of the 3.

If James Stewart doesn't ride this year then Team USA is going to find it difficult to retain the trophy.

Personally I think it'll be a real shame if Stewart doesn't go, mainly because he is the fastest rider on the planet, but also because if USA don't win it will provide the perfect excuse for years to come and Americans will never accept it. I'd rather lose magnaminously to the best team (which over previous years Team USA clearly have been) than win under contentious circumstances.

Stewart, Alessi, Dungey (With RV as alternate-I don't want to send a rookie 450 rider over)

Without Stewart I'd say Villopoto, Alessi, Dungey (With K-Dub as Alternate)

Either way, America wins.

ha, ha. Really?? Didn't he sign with a team knowing that it was a supercross only contract? If not he needs a new agent.

I like how these top riders say they can't find rides. They choose not to have rides when they demand a price that is beyond what teams are willing to pay.

I think a GP type track would be right up Stroupe's alley.
