Hi all, I have two problems that I need help with on my 2011 sx125. Throttle sticking and my rear fender is bent down on one side and does not align with the rear wheel. Anyone have any ways to straighten it? I don’t think my subframes bent, hopefully just the plastic...

Throttle sticking: I was riding on a fast trail in high revs and the throttle such wide open, luckily it only stuck for 10 seconds, but it’s happened twice in the last few days now... anybody know what’s wrong? The throttle cable is routed at the fromt of the bars and goes down the left side of the frame .. is this right ? Also, the odd day my carb leaks out of the overflow, but I’m going to clean the carb and check floats.

Thanks anyone for help!

1) Most likely your subframe is bent but if not, heat up the rear fender and put a 2x4 or something at correct length under it on the side that is bent (so it pushes up off the ground or off the rear tire).

2) That routing doesn't sound right. The stock KTM throttle cable is routed behind the bars (rider side) and routes down the right side of the frame, over the right radiator (inboard of the radiator cap). Your cable might have been pulled out of the top of the carb and braaaped wide open.

Post pics if you can.

I would also check inside the throttle assembly since ktm i think had some issues in 2011.

i would also checked if it got any airleaks .

I am using the motion pro +4 throttle cable since its longer and cant jump out

Open up your throttle housing and see if there is any gunk/dirt in there.

Those year KTMs used a slide in throttle cable, they can pull out and get hung up. Buy a threaded cable. Itll thread into your carb.
Bet your subframe is bent. Also your throttle cable is routed wrong. Like the other guy said, it goes down the right side.

Maybe a recall on that throttle, check with your dealer. Had a recall on the throttle on my 13 150, not sure if that was the same setup or not.

Probably nothing other than ordering you another throttle assembly, labour, etc.

Your cable routing is wrong like seth505 said. Start there.

I would think any ktm dealer would help you to make it right, shouldn’t cost anything just as simple as you or them making contact with ktm but i think a certificate ktm dealer has to fix it for it to be considered legitimate.

that would a hell of a thing to do for a second hand bike that is 9 model years old. Be great if they did however.

Maybe so in that case, sometimes high rollers get special treatment. Hope they take care of you.

Another issue also, my carb has began to leak. First happened a week ago just unloaded the bike and carb was pissing fuel has happened a few times since. Happens also while riding I give the carb a good tap and it stops. I did take out the carb and all seemed good I cleaned it and blew it all out and all seemed fine float height and all seemed good? Any advise before buying a carb kit? Cheers

How did you clean the carb? I always take jets out to clean as well.
