Motocross movie

Why are there is not newer motocross. Why do you guys think that there is. There has not been a theatrical Motocross movie. Not Red Bull stuff or the monster stuff following the racer. I real a movie why do you think that is

It’s at least 20 years since a motocross movie to my knowledge. With the Technology of this generation we can cut the filming cut with drones and gopros and couple good good cameras. We can film it we can watch it we can support it. We support motocross Products racing dirtbikes is expensive riding dirtbikes is expensive this sports is a lot of money not like basketball or baseball. We have money. We are a little arrogant as rider and racer for the fact we are riding Community have to put so much more on the line. Gas truck gear helmet boots bike 10 of thounds of dollars. I saw a opportunity To create a movie motocross movie script.

Idk man. I heard good good cameras are expensive to rent. Would be hard to fund this movie.

Lucas oil Is making a motocross movie. I am going support it I am going to buy it. We as fans rider racer we support a lot of brands from the bikes to the clothes and everything in between. I just want to more motocross movie. It’s great what reb bull does with behind the gate and inside the moto. It’s a movie script I created as a fan and a rider of dirtbikes.

I am thinking a lot of brands would have to sponsor it on top of a good production company. It’s a about a military father whos son races and his wife’s dies dramatically. If sponsorship dollars could come from veteran owned companies like ranger up.

Im a working screenwriter since '05, part of the WGA, and have pitched a MX themed story to a few studios over the years, but there was very little interest. I also worked on the Supercross movie while I was in film school.

I could see a low budget indie doing well if the moto community supported it, but a large budget Hollywood feature is a long shot. Most people just dont know what riding a bike feels like, how much work and talent it takes to do it well, etc, so it's hard to translate that to the audience so they care and are invested. This means MX is at a big disadvantage, for example compared to the car movies, where almost everyone knows how to drive and knows what it takes to drive well at high speeds.

The moto industry is just not that big to warrant the investment of a movie when they can get a better return on a known sport like football. Almost all the MX movie plots could be told with small adjustments using more well known sports.

If you make a movie just make sure to dub 2 stroke sounds over 4 stroke bikes and vice versa. Thats motocross movie 101.
