Peeking through the (finally) official results from Jacksonville, there was this note...

#336 Dennis Jonnon who finished 17th in the main event along with #404 Tyler Medaglia, #566 Logan Martin, #231 Jake Lowry, #387 Austin Miller and #710 Chris
Haack were disqualified from the event for failure to comply with fuel specifications as set forth in the 2009 AMA Supercross rulebook page 10, section 1.11.

What was the specific violation. Too much O2? Lead? I just can't see any of these guys taking the chance of being dis-qualified. They can't afford it. There needs to be spec. fuel supplied by the sanctioning body (paid for at the track by the riders team). That way all this ridiculous fuel BS will end. Now those poor 3 digit guys are out-of-pocket for the whole trip to JXSX. That really sucks.

Hopefully they were not running Pump gas because that would totally suck. Privateer 250F riders need every advantage they can get maybe they were pushing the limits ?

I think even pump gas has too much lead in it for AMA rules. You have to buy special kinds that cost a fortune.

hahahaha wow. Too bad they can't threaten to quit the series like RC and then get the points back. So, according to the VP website, the pros probably run MR-PRO4.1. This shit is $37 a gallon. In a typical weekend a privateer would probably burn 5 gallons of it. Thats $189 just for gas. Even formula 1 cars are running on basically pump gas and then you have this shit. Another step backwards for whoever the fuck is running this joke known as professional motocross.

If you buy it in 5gal containers as with most fuels you could actually eat the cost of the 5gal. Once opened, and exposed to air, contaminents in the air could make it illegal for use at a later date. This issue was posed when past fuel protests took place.

The AMAFIM are out of line. Fuel should be standardized for all entries and distibuted at the beginning of event. Testing later in the event could then prove any cheating by additives.

Shoot, I wonder what they were using. I just ran pump gas at all of them. Frankly, I didn't even know they still tested fuel.

jake lowry isnt wwr either.
this is BS messing with these privateers like that. jake is hooked up with the gills brothers. they have like 5 or 6 people traveling in a small toy hauler, 1 mechanic that is basically working for free right now. they have it hard enough as it is. they should be testing JS and CR after EVERY race.
