Started riding at 12. First sport I could actually do good at. Started racing at 18 while I was stationed in the Philippines. Quit when I went to college at 22. Raised four of my boys at the race track. Started racing again in my mid 40's. Quit racing MX at 50 and started racing desert.

Bob Lowery at Scott stuck me with the nickname because I ran the Start Gate at a majority of the local races for years (still do some).

All the kids are grown and so I have twelve grandkid bikes and a grandkid wheeler in the garage now along with my KTM380MXC and YZ450F and our wheelers.

Plan on riding off-road for another 30 years.

I'm trying to find a way to train the flaggers for our track. Does anyone know of a web site that includes a flagger training video. We have the Downey Foundation video, but are looking for something else also. It'w hard to show a video at the track on raceday morning.

Thanks for the last two suggestions. The goal of this post is to find something positive (instructional) that we can show our flaggers. We have been holding races at our track for over 40 years, but after seeing the litigation and liability issues going around lately, we want to do something more with our flaggers. More suggestions would be welcome.

Saturday was a TOUGH track. Reed was smart to back it off and get second. He just needs to win one more guys. The way to win a title is to be consistant. He sure is that. I like the both of them and it's too bad they can't both win.
