True. I think it would be much better racing if Reed started with the 18 point deficit. Stewart would still be riding to win races, not riding to not lose one.

Lost 3 championship points and he's called smart?

He has to win one out of five.. not all five.. doesn't have to push if its not there.

Or he could just try and pass Stewart and end it all.

I agree smart ride by Chad, but what else can he really do? I don't think Chad can run James' pace for an extended period of time; James can't even run James' pace for an extended period of time.

History is in Chad's favor; the pressure is on James. 80 laps and counting...

Um, riiiight. Cause' that's gonna' happen around here.

Common sense! Thanks Stephon.

I dont know about you, but I am really excited knowing that in the next 80 laps at some point we are all gonna get to see Reed push it as hard as he can.

The only thing some of these guys can hang on to is that Reed hasnt won without James crashing, and if Reed does that, I feel some on here will look for a cave to hide in.

Then their ace in the hole excuse will be useless.

I just hope we see 4 more GREAT races. Lap times were pretty close tonight, which is encouraging.

I am a fan of both guys. (It is impossible for me not to be)
I agree James does put it on the ground alot, but at that speed of coarse he will.
James does have alot of pressure now.
It does make for an interesting season.

C'mon Scott, be honest with yourself; that's a pretty significant thing to hang onto. No? It's not like it's been a couple of races; it's been seasons and Chad hasn't been able to do beat James without him crashing. Do you think Chad can do it? Me? I don't know. I'd like to guess if they came out of the gate together 15 times Chad would take a few right? But I think we've had that already since '05.

Nobody was sayin' that James wouldn't have gone 24-0 if Chad was there. He may not have gone undefeated if Chad was there. I don't know, but it wasn't an obvious thing that people were saying. 24 times 35 minutes+ vs. 19-21 minutes 17 times. I still think James roosted you on his 65 back in the day, j/k. Your haterade runs deep - it makes it fun.

Id the Chad that shows up is pissed off and ready to leave it all on the track, then yes.

I personally don't think it will go down to Vegas, I think James wins Jacksonville, then he has a brain fart and either misses the main event or does a stall and can't restart sort of thing.

Jeez, not only did you know the exact condition of the track tonight, you know exactly what's going to happen in the next two weeks. Karnac of Supercross.

No one can beat James but James.

And James has made titles irrelevant.

That's how much fucking better he is than the rest.

He used to "train" by driving to the rim shop!

Reed did EVERYTHING in his power to try and catch Stewart and started making some huge mistakes while pushing it.

If that was a smart ride by Reed then if he keeps on finishing second to Stewart I suppose he will be a genius by season's end.

ain't no restarting needed with an automatic clutch. watch his last few crashes, motor still running no matter what. with the exception of daytona start

Not necessarily, depends on what JS does. JS gets a DNF and Speedy Reedy could get a 3rd. (or worse)

Saturday was a TOUGH track. Reed was smart to back it off and get second. He just needs to win one more guys. The way to win a title is to be consistant. He sure is that.

I like the both of them and it's too bad they can't both win.

Reed had an off night, it happens. The track didnt help either.

4 races left. When Reed beats James you know I'm never gonna shut up about it right?
