Spent all day building the motor. Waiting on the head it's supposed to come Monday. Hopefully I'll be ready to break it in next weekend.

Now here's where I screwed up the when installing the basket the first time. You can't tell with only the clutch cover off so I would recommend taking the outer cover off if messing with the basket.
Should look like this once you turn the oil pump gear and it falls into place.

Now onto the bigger question, am i going to be able to find one the correct length or will this one work. The spring i have is a racetech 6727 spring, and it's 17mm longer than stock. So now im left with no visible threads, on the shock above the preload ring. I would like to find a 4.8 in the right length, unless you guys don't think this will cause an issue.
Ps. Excuse the dirty bike, broken hand at the moment and can't wash it.

Dude, what happened to your hand? The moto season is starting soon. Hope to see you out at Moriarty soon.
Got bucked off the bike in December, too stiff of a bike and riding it on the winter Moriarty hardpack ended with breaking the hand. Hopefully in a week or two I'll be on the 250, while i get the 450 suspension sorted.

And if i can im going to do a 6725, but they're now reccomending a 6724 for the lighter rates. After listening to keefers podcast i think im going to spring the forks ( with skf seals and bushings thrown in while im there), spring the shock, and I'm thinking the ride engineering link too, just need to get some funds up. Hopefully 6d will say the helmets okay after inspection and then I'll have the money now!

I've been slowly picking up a few more trick parts for my bike. It's winter here so I won't be able to test anything until spring. I'm having racetech completely set up the forks and shock with gold vavles. I wanted to add a little more green to the set up so I ordered a Pro Curcuit Bladder kit to have them install while doing the suspension. We are also having the spring powder coated before taking the suspension in. Picked up the Ride Engineering Link as well after hearing the benefits on Keefer's podcast.

This is by far the best thread I've found u guys a great

So I’ve had pro Circuit warrant my exhaust with the updated bracket but Kawasaki in Australia are saying they haven’t heard anything about the subframe breaking so I’m left to buy a subframe for myself as my bracket has broken twice and with pro circuit replacing my exhaust system I’m not taking any chances of it happening a third time. And yes this is by far the best forum I’ve come across thanks guys and keep those posts rolling in??

Does the PC titanium header pipe turn blue and stays blue or does it keep changing color?

It kind of dulls after a while but stays blue and purple. You could always scotch brite it back to raw color then it will re color when ridden.

Mine went from silver to purple to a dark blue, it’s now got a light blue tint over the original metal color

Late to the party, but just built my freshy! Had a kid recently and gave me some garage time off the bike to make it how I want.

How come you didnt have them transfer over the HSC adjuster so that you had a restrictor in the body?

I was in the same boat as I had the 3 piece adjuster. I swapped it with somebody for the single piece adjuster. Havent gotten around to sending my stuff out to be done.

This weekend at my local track there was 2019 kawi 250 and 450 test. I own a '14 kxf 250 and i can teel you the '19 250 is turning way better than my 14.
I also tryed the 450, my first 450. I'm 17 and weight 53kg. The bike doesn't feel much heavier than the 250. Motor is badass, turns great and is stable as fuck! Brakes are crazily powerfull. Hydraulic clutch is working great. Forks were a bit too stiff (but i'm 53 and i didn't have the opportunity to tune them), while the shock surprised me, it was working better than my bike's one, serviced 10 hours ago.
My opinion? Bike is awesome, but for most of the (italian) tracks a 450 is overpowered.

Nice how much is a new one? I may buy one as well as the extended bladder at some point. I do have my old body and adjuster I could sell maybe but PC messed up the threads.

So I had asked that question, because I figured it would be easier to peddle off my 18 and older body if the adjuster was included, but they said you cant just "buy " one. All the team shocks that get sold off to the public have the 3 piece adjuster still. The only 1 piece kit adjusters that exist are the ones that are purchased by the general public when new, not a kit that was used by team, atleast with KX shocks.

I just removed a 1 piece adjuster from a honda kit shock, and installed my 3 piece adjuster in its place. Aside from the kashima, i'll basically retain all the features of the kit shock now in the production body (restrictor, 18 mm check valve shaft).

Ah so any compression adjuster will fit? Do they have to machine it down or will it go right in? Should I look for a honda one?

Here is the TM Designworks kit installed on the 450. Very tight between the lower slider and the roller while on the stand and suspension fully expanded.

The TM chain guide fit perfectly and I did not have to remove the countershaft sprocket to install the slider.

The t.m. Designs bolts are nice but they’re a little long. I stripped one out and ended up cutting the thread to a 6mm thread then then put a bigger bolt in. Worked much better
