I just did a direct swap with a kx450 kyb shock. Everything went together perfect and feels amazing

Hows it feel compared to the original shock, I have honestly had no issues with the BFRC shock after being revalved and sprung for me, but would love to try a standard shock but obviously it would need revalved and sprung too lol so a little bit bigger of a investment if its not going to really matter to me.

It feels absolutely amazing. It works so much better with the front forks. Everything on the shock is stock. I picked it up for $45 on eBay. After I found out it would fit I turned around and bought a new take off from a 15

The KX shock bolted right up? The 2009-2015 is all the same so they should be easy to find.

Nope. It was like that when I got it. I have about 1mm gap. When you sit on it the shock rotates to about 4mm

Is that shock you have on there a 2006-2008? The 2015 will be different.

The 2015 will be Showa. A KYB shock will bolt on a 2015 though because I did it on my KX450F.

Well I'm just looking at the shock body. That's how I found out the one I had would work. It it doesn't work I will sale it.

Yeah Showa A-Kit fits back to 06, so they all must bolt up. I believe 06-18 is interchangeable for the shock on the KXs.

The one in the photo is an 06-08 shock body, which is a bit different offset than an 09 and up KX body...not sure it the newer one would fit too.

I used the ktm shock body with Sdi blaster kit and PC A-kit internals.




For sale:
I also have a kx shock body that has been Kashima coated. Has not been used since having Kashima done, also they buffed the body before Kashima coated it.

You sound like an ohlins dealer lol. Ohlins are just the same as any other shock with shims and flow oil, Ive owned plenty. If it fits then you can make it work.....

Plenty of SU 1894 on ebay, SU 1994 available very soon.

TTX44 is way more tunable than the Flow

Not an Öhlins dealer. I work for the distributor for Öhlins in the US. But you're right. Öhlins are no different than any other shock. Just as every motorcycle is the same because it has two wheels. And every car is the same because it has four wheels, etc. Everything thing in the world is the same just as you say! Whistling

Do NOT get a 50mm kx450 shock body 09 and up. Doesn't work. The 06-08 bolt up just fine. I just tried the newer one.
On a side note I do have a KTM shock body that will be going on next With new internals.

Did you use a spring for a wp? Custom spring? Shim the shaft? Just trying to figure it out before I open up my wp shock
