Fricken awesome!

Congrats to you both, ANYONE who scores an AMA point is a bad mofo on a dirt bike. The fact that your son works full time and still made it happen is even more awesome.

Cale is a cool dude I was pumped to see him out there, I was mechanic for one of my best buddies Zac Maley he freaking got 13th the first Moto I lost it bad he had no clue until I got to the power wash area with him and told him, second Moto he was moving up and into 21st and got stuck in mud under the bridge but got out finally and finished if not for that I think he would’ve made it into top 20 again for sure.

Kid works full time, lives on his own and does everything on a tiny ass budget.

Was a hell of a weekend.

That's moto right there! Achieving an achievable goal. As a self admitted gate filler at national level, that was my goal. One point and a national number. Finished one short 4 or 5 times unfortunately I think because the promoter didn't give a toss after 15th in Australia before the use of transponders

Papa: as a father myself, I'd say you already won with Cale having a job as a programmer. Congrats on that alone. Points in a national on top of that? Kick ass!

Congrats to you and your son and it's good to see he has a fallback plan being a programmer he'll always have a job.

As someone who is transitioning from construction to a programmer/developer job, I look up to this guy

Thanks dad and thanks everyone! I was curious just how special this was and did a little web scraping to get a spreadsheet from the Racet X Vault data...

There are 3,365 riders in the vault. Of those riders 1,922 have earned points in either MX, SX, or WMX.

Let me know how this goes (seriously). I'm in IT and sitting inside all day is killing me. I have been looking for construction jobs... "The grass is always greener on the other side" though and the dudes that are outside always wish to be in. The money is too good to quit but it's quite taxing on the body/mind sitting all day.

To be honest, it is definitely rough. Where I work though, they let me work the 7 to 3:30 shift, and going right to the gym after work every day helps a lot. I spend as much time as I can outside after work.
