Team Australia MXoN confirmed

If I was picking a team first thing i’d look at is do they have a bike.
Last results for Reed at the des Nations was appalling. Reed spent the lead up to the event holidaying with Ex friend JT flat tracking at Valentino’s Ranch actually that was probably the most riding he did leading up to the event.
Your there to perform not treat it as a holiday. The team is there for results not a popularity contest.
Sorry but I can’t find any positives to having Reed on the team except for the killer autograph line.

Not like that's an argument. He's easily better than any other Aussie rider. Shit he's neck and neck for best Aussie motorsportsman with Mick Doohan.

Mick Doohan won the biggest motorcycle title in the world 5 years straight, Reed is good, but Doohan is next level,

Scott, have you met Mick? I haven't, but id like to hear another opinion of him compared to others I had heard from.
never met him, my parents did at one of the Aussie GP's, but it was a pretty quick meet and greet,

Metty definitely has more of a leg to stand on

I don't think having experience in the US cuts it IMO. The results weren't there for Metty this year

I don't know how many he had but it seemed whenever I watched he had a dnf due to a mechanical haha so that contributed to his end of year result but I do think the two chosen are more deserving than Metty.. could argue against Gibbs though cause of injury and all that

Yeah that's true...it is what it is. I reckon they chose the best team based on Kirk Gibbs saying he is now 100%...he was fast at the start of the season, he did awesome at Matterly last year, has the experience and the dedication...if not Kirk then Luke Clout...
I'm happy with the team chosen.
Todd Waters is not back to 100% , others also not yet back on pace after injury.
We should be all stoked for Mitch Evans...with his current form..hes on a roll..hope he spins people's heads right around! Give the young blokjes a go I say!

Used to be a huge fan of Chad Reed, but his actions of late have made me lose a lot of respect. What he did to Dungey last year was unacceptable yet he still defended himself.

To me James and Chad are opposite sides of the same diva coin.

Makes no sense picking Gibbs, hope he does some race motos to get into shape .
Evans n Lawrence fair enough to be picked.

Gibbs was the next fastest guy buy far in the first few rounds this year, a nagging back injury grabbed him about half way through the series , slowing him a little then a massive crash after holeshotting ..at the third last round ( I think )
He is definitely the next fastest and fittest rider in that series in my opinion..he did have a shit year though and the injury is for sure a question mark.
But if he's 100% again like he has said...hes only missed 3 races and wont have dropoed much bije speed, Reed has missed 3 years and rode shit, without any motivation apparently the year prior to that..

He doesn't need to audition.

Why would the captain of the aussie MX des nations team since 2002 have to audition? If he says he's good to go and gonna give it his best then he's automatic

It's a shame that Gally and Leisk didn't put their hands up. We could have had a team of legends.

Yeah except they are RETIRED!

I'm afraid some people over value the Aussies mx series.

I'm afraid some people don't value it enough!

Tyler Medaglia beat Reed in the second moto and Overall, where do you rate the Canadian series? He finished 4th in their series

Gibbs got 5th in a moto at Matterly the best Medaglia got was 16th (not hating on Medaglia just comparing)

I don't compare either of them. They are both a step below the US and GP series both in speed level, depth of class and track conditions.

They are great series on their own but dont get shot twisted. It's a big jump from aussie mx to the States. Just ask Riorden the Moss brothers and any body else not named Chad that's trued to do it.

How bout valuing that and show the man some good damned respect.

Yeah they are but a guy from that lesser series did pretty good today..
the top guys speed aren't as far away as you seem to think they are..

I definitely don't agree with just putting him in cause he's Chad Reed?
If no one better can go sure but the result today doesn't show me that he's better than the others chosen..

dumbest shit i've read today. They both beat Bagget today, so how does that factor into your ridiculous theory?
Gibbs hasn't got shit for Reed, never has, never will

Then I feel sorry for you bud.

This could have really meant something to both Aussie and US Reed fans. To see him go out and give it one last shot would have been awesome.

Now all it will mean is its the year Reedy got shafted.

If you don't see that your more of a Reed hater than a moto fan.

What exactly would Reed have to do to show you he is worthy of selection? I can't wait to hear your reply!

You gonna be ok champ?

Was merely defending the speed of other Australian riders not named Chad Reed obviously my 'theory' has many holes

Yeah I'll disagree with your last statement

Oh for fuck sake just because I don't believe they should give him the ride cause he wants it this year I'm a hater now??

Show me ANY posts where I've been anything close to a hater of Reed! I've gone toe to toe with Big Lenny more than once defending him!
I agree it could've been awesome but they chose other riders.. It might mean that to you but it won't to me

Like I've said he did awesome and I'm not at all surprised I just dunno if he would've beaten Gibbs or Evans today
You guys obviously think he would've and that's cool..
It seems people are confusing my support for others as hate for Reed and it's far from the truth
