I wanted to take one so bad, but a good buddy of mine works for the graphics company and didn't want to get him into any crap since nothing has been released yet. Peely's Eagle/Flag Boner pretty much explains it.

A few things worry me:

-If Anderson rides the last 3 rounds of MX, and has another 3 weeks of training before MXDN, he might be faster than Barcia by the time MXDN rolls around. Anderson was riding better than Barcia before the injury. Ifs and butts I know, but I'm not so sure Barcia is faster than Paulin, even with how "bad" Paulin has been riding.

-Ferrandis may be straight up faster than Plessinger. If Ferrandis gets a decent start, I'm not sure Pless has the speed to catch/pass him.

-Tomac could very well Tomac.
tomac could be tomac? seriously? the guy is making everyone look like a amateur right now.
let me tell you, usa will not win without tomac. easy as that. sure things can go wrong, but they are much, much more likely to go right with tomac on the team than without him.

Everybody thinks Tiger is an automatic pick... I hope not. His record sucks in the Ryder Cup.

I'd say the dolphins definitely are the super bowl favorite this year though.

Well Tomac just tomac’d a few weeks ago at RED BUD of all places... although watching him ride before his bike blew up in the first moto was Pretty awesome. He was visibly a several notches above anyone else.

Been on this website for a little while. 2012 I think. Started riding at 3 and racing at 7. Still ride once or twice a week but it's harder now while having a family. I follow AMA MX, MXGPs and GNCCs religiously. I have purchased more new bikes than your age (no joke,) more riding clothes, parts, etc than you can ever imagine. I've been to Steel City, High Point, Unadilla, Budds Creek, tons of GNCC nationals etc. Raced literally hundreds of races including locals, states, nationals etc. Trust me, I put way more money and time into this sport I love than you could ever imagine.
That is cool you have been to GNCC's I respect that. I have the same story just much younger, no family, and a smaller budget. You are no help to my generation. I always wonder why a considerably less amount of my generation rides. Our parents forcing us to play "ball" sports so we can go to college, get our business degree, make a lot of money so we can take care of them. Thats no joke. I went to a high school of maybe 3,500 kids in a large top 10 city. I think maybe 6 of us rode. 4 of the 6 raced. Mainstreaming racing isn't the answer because my friend that has never rode isn't going to go to a track and have fun. He will hate it and never ride again. Free riding is a much more realistic target.

Let me know how many bikes Twitch and Bereman sell and then get back to us. The younger crowd might now who they are, but they aren't selling bikes so for the rest of us they are pretty irrelevant. By the way I'm 27 and I really couldn't care less what Twitch and Bereman. I watched Bereman come through the ranks racing CMC. I'm glad he is making money free riding and all that, but again he isn't selling bikes or anything like that so he's irrelevant to the guys that just love racing.
Im not going to destroy you with statistics. But lets be real. How many kids 18-24 are buying new dirt bikes? If i saw Ronnie Renner hitting a sweet kicker in Ocotillo Wells vs ET3 hitting a rhythm in super cross. Im not going to buy a new kawi and go pretend to be ET3 because I'm not a groomed professional. Twitch and Bereman don't sell as many "new" bikes sure. but they do sell brands at pretty much the same level as ET3. They reach different markets on a free platform on a daily basis. Also they post shit every day that gets 10s of thousands of views. Over time thats much more than the same ET3 fans watching him win MX or SX. I don't think its just about selling bikes if we are talking about growing the sport.

They’re definitely NOT selling bikes. That’s not their intentions at least. They’re buying kawis or Honda’s or whatever brand they want, and putting black or white plastics on it with all their sponsors everywhere without a mention of the manufacturer.

Not taking a dig at either of them, they are badasses in their own ways:

They're all realistic targets. Free riding, trail riding, MX, HS, Enduro, Extreme Enduro, endurocross, supermoto, freestyle etc. The more styles of riding the better. Just because I don't do Instagram and follow these free riders it doesn't mean you or anyone else shouldn't. It also doesn't mean I don't support the sport just as much. I ride with a very large group of guys who's ages range from early 20s to 60+. Some are welders, some are machinists, some are mechanics some are attorneys, some are financial advisors, some are teachers, some are engineers (a lot for some reason, actually) some are business owners, some are police officers some are in the medical field and some are retired. It's so cool seeing so many different people of different ages and different backgrounds come together to ride dirt bikes every Sunday. The vast majority of those guys don't follow any sort of racing they simply love dirt bikes and spend tons of money on them.

I don't give a damn about how well Yamaha does in racing. I buy their bikes because they fit my riding style and my dad rode them. Im a cole seely fan but I hopefully will never own a honda.. I would never buy a bike just because they won a championship.. But I guess If I was a try hard track guy then I guess I would.

I’m not buying my bikes based on favorite racer, championships won or anything like that. I’m buying what I like to ride and looks don’t hurt either. That being said, anyone with a mass following can post about dirt bikes and argue they’re “selling dirt bikes”. Hell, the more people post about it the better!

I was just saying I don’t think twitch or beremen are posting on insta with the main purpose of selling motorcycles, considering they don’t give a centimeter of advertising for the manufacturer.

Sure they are all realistic targets. I ride in a large group of mostly consisting of 40-60 yr olds. All of the younger sons of the fathers all stopped riding. I was actually the last one. I had to turn my roommates into riding and buying bikes and now I finally have people my age to ride with. I see a potential serious problem coming for the sport when the generation above is too old to ride. But besides that.

If RedBull was giving you a mil to free ride and kawi wasn't giving you a cent would you toss Kawi on the bike? I wouldn't. Bereman is just waiting for a manufacture to step up. Twitch is another story because of his age/following. Also having weed maps as a sponsor probably turns some manufacturers off. lol.

Now that’s an example of someone with a huge following selling bikes. Kawi pays him, in return he rides and reps the brand... pretty simple.

Have we watched the same 250 season this summer? Because the one I have been watching has included an ass whooping by Plessinger to the entire field, including Ferrandis. Ferrandis has great speed but he doesn't have anything for AP right now.

Official team announcement tomorrow. Dress rehearsal (gear, bikes, team photos) at Indiana, like usual.
