Just saw on facebook that Jim passed away last night. Had minor surgery but passed from medication complications.

That’s horrible!

I just re-listened to the podcast he did with Steve yesterday and it was great.

Sad day!

I also just listened to the pod cast on the way home from Kansas (for the second time). He sounded like one of those guys that everyone liked...not to mention he was quite successful in the business world. RIP

Yeah, he did OK for himself. I came across this looking if there was anything on the web earlier. RIP.

Just relistened too his Pulp Pod again too. Matthes really has done something wonderful for the sport with those, hearing legends like Jim Hale tell their story before it’s too late would never happen for many otherwise. RIP Mr Hale.

Yep. I have each of those issues autographed by Bayle, McGrath, Kiedrowski, and Bradshaw.
Each are vacuum sealed in their own plastics.

Rumor is, there's an entire pallet of all 4 isues sitting in an unnamed warehouse somewhere in Temecula.

He went out of his way to do something good for the sport. Same as Tony Miller did for MX in Texas. Men amongst men, it meant more to them than just a money grab. One sad day for "our" sport.

RIP Jim Hale. A true pioneer in Motorsports.

Sounds like that Vegas house has some sort of curse, what are the odds of two famous people passing away in it...
