Does anyone have an old catalog with Wiseco part numbers? My old stock piston kit is 485P6.
The wristpin I received is too long to fit in the piston. I ordered the one listed on their site (S343).
S343 is 2.362. The old pin is closer to 2.282.
Very disappointing are waiting so long for it to arrive. I contacted Wiseco but I don’t know how long it’ll be before I get a response.

Sometimes it helps clear ones head to get away from the baloney... Doing forks now, replacing stanchions, replacement forks etc... Bought off ebay, opened fork caps and YUCK, PUKE GROSS! Some space cadets filled the tubes with what looked like vegetable oil! It stunk rancid and my garage still reaks after bleaching the floor etc... I used to pick up garbage for a living and it was right up there with the worst smells i have ever dealt with. Almost puked...Good luck.

I found the old Wiseco part numbers and purchased one off eBay from a guy in RI.
Gotta get this train back on track!

Nice build, but you could have just pulled a Macgyver and cut that 12mm Husky socket to length and shoved it into the piston instead of waiting for another wrist pin.

The socket is the right diameter! Ha ha
I guess I could have used the surface grinder where I work to modify the length.

The correct wristpin arrived yesterday. I finished installing the top end and put the motor into the frame.
It's a huge relief to have the motor finally all together.

Made some progress today. It starting to look like a bike again. At least it’s a roller!
Tank, seat cover shock spring are the major parts left. Of coarse, there are a lot of details to work out!
I need to wait for a warm day so I can leave the seat cover in the sun before stretching and stapling.

I managed to get some work done on the RM this weekend. Getting things bolted on for the final time. Finished the electrical, sand and buffed the tank, put on the graphics (which are already peeling) and got the seat cover installed. Down to a few finishing touches (pipe, carb overflow tubes). Also installed a oem platypus front fender.

Keep collecting the parts you need and try to find a parts bike. That would have helped me but not many come up for sale in my area.

Always a eye out for parts bikes, maybe something at VMD hopefully... What shifter and seat cover / foam did you use?

I ordered the seat cover from Vintage Suzuki. You can get them on eBay or their website. The quality seems good.
I reused the seat foam that came with the bike. I took a chance and the new seat cover fit the old foam.
The shifter is OEM Suzuki from a 1983 RM250. '83 is folding aluminum.....'82 is steel. My shifter had bad splines so I figured why not go with the upgrade.

Great job! I bought some " wicked tough" tank decals for mine. One side went on & stayed on nice, the other side bubbled &; peeled right away. I super glued it down...

A couple steps closer to riding! The exhaust system is on, carb vent hoses and found some rubber fork caps.
The pipe has some dents. I keep telling myself I can live with them.......we’ll see. I always have my eye out for parts.
The fork leg has a 1980’s White Brothers decal. I can’t bring myself to peel it off. That spot will make the rest of the fork look terrible.
